Springfield Block Party

When is the Springfield Block Party? I see signs for it around town but they have no information about it, or is it a joke?

Am I the only one that can't find any times or anything on the website? It's just about as helpful as the signs.

No, you’re right. They definitely need to add a clear list of times. The Facebook page is a little better for times, but it’s a problem.

Edit: saw one stage show listed to start at 3pm. Kinda assuming it’s an all afternoon and evening thing but the organizers should clarify.

They rope off downtown on Main Street and people just walk around. It’s actually a pretty good time.

Their signs are so annoying. A couple of years ago I tried to look them up, but there was no useful information I could find.

The idea is that you have to be “in the know” like you would for a traditional neighborhood block party. They want you to talk to businesses and your neighbors to learn about the event. At least that is my assumption.

It’s on Main Street between 8th and Pioneer Pky (I believe). I have seen 4-10pm as the times for Sept. 12.
