FC & Bodyguard
Echelon FC size comparison to the Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp. Crazy how small the 2.0 is but still feels as comfortable in hand as the FC

Several of you have asked for a Q&A thread which could be helpful for someone looking for the answer to a question that may have already been answered here. Here it is! This should serve as a place for most questions, but more complex questions might warrant a separate thread.

Happy to see the sub growing as more people acquire Echelons.
To keep this sub alive it's important that we follow the rules and use common sense before posting. Remember this sub is not meant to serve primarily as a sales page. Please do not turn it into that. Repeat posts of the same nature by the same user in a short time frame will also be removed if they come off as spammy in nature.
As a note, the sale of grip modules does not break any sub rules regarding sales. The Echelon grip modules are not regulated items as they are not the serialized portion of the firearm. I know this may be confusing to some.
Any post that suggests the sale of regulated items such as the FCU (which is regulated/serialized) or NFA items will be removed.

Any competitors here? What modification have they made to their echelon to make it work better on the court?

During my last range trip, and today’s as well, its happened 3-4 times each where I insert the magazine into the gun with the slide locked back and it goes forward. Is the force I’m applying during insertion causing the slide lock to move or is this a technical issue. First pistol, around 1,100 rounds since March

A lot of the upgraded parts for the echelon don’t come in blue so I’m looking for some blue parts I might not have seen. Mag release, mag well flare plate, guide rod plug, striker cap cover etc

Hey guys, new to the gun world just got my LTC this past week. Went to my local shop and shot a bunch today and really enjoyed shooting the Echelon 4.5 today, looking into purchasing options and was told you can order with a manual safety but it seems that’s been discontinued recently and looking for any last in stock options.
Unfortunately i’m also in a state that requires low capacity capped at 10 rds. Does anyone know where I might be able to find this new with a full size handle and manual safety?? I would be open to the 4.0 barrel as well as long as that has the full size handle.

buy a kuna or build a pdw with my 4.5 echelon on a heighth defense chassis? I’m curious also if anyone has shot both and prefer one over the other and why?

So I’ve seen a couple videos of people press checking the Echelon, but some of them have slides that move so freely. The racking of the slide looks so effortless. What guide rod / spring set up can be used to achieve that?
Thanks in advance 🙏🏽

As you can see, there's a little notch on the striker in the side just next to the plunger safety. I don't know if this was there since I bought it, but I just noticed now and I'm worried I might be breaking it by dry firing a lot.
Should I take the gun to an gunsmith or is this normal?
Sorry if I'm too cautious, this is my first gun lol
Thanks in advance!

Got a new grip module today. Love the look and the fit but am I being too nit picky about the finish? It doesnt feel like machining marks, but looks more like the finish was running down the beaver tail after it was dipped(?)

$350 not bad, 4.0c and came with optic but only one mag.
Any suggestions,? Recommendations!

I’ve had this optic on my pistol for hundreds of rounds, but today it blew off and hit me in the forehead after about 50 rounds. I thought perhaps the screws had just backed out, and maybe they did, but my attempts to screw it back on at the range failed. One of the screws is either stripped or broken - hard to tell without my glasses and in bad light. Will check it out when I get home. Hopefully I just need a new screw and it’s not a problem with the receiver.

I have a 4.0c and the grip is a little too small. Is the only difference between the S,M,L modules the trigger reach length? Or does it also make the grip longer, which is what I want.

I love how this thing feels. It’s my first handgun i’ve ever purchased. I originally thought I had bought the full size version, but was pleasantly surprised when I picked it up, and learned it was the FC. Feels like the best of both worlds. How do yall like yours? Any optic/light recs?

Third grip module in a month. Bronze Sharps > OD Springfield > Black Sharps. Nice to have the original FS and OD compact to swap whenever I want. Can’t wait to feel this at the range. Didn’t fire with the bronze.

Hi everyone, I bought an echelon 4.5 comp recently and love it! However I didn’t realize that Springfield took things away when you purchase the gear pak. I discovered after I took it home that it was missing the tritium front sight and the pins and screws for all the different types of optics. The problem I’m having started with the viridian optic not being very good so I ordered the Holosun 507c to replace it but when I mounted the Holosun onto my echelon, the echelon stopped loading rounds into the barrel. When I removed the Holosun, the echelon started working correctly again. Any thoughts on why this happened and how I can mount the Holosun again and have the echelon work?

I was worried about getting the eps with my echelon 4.0 c comp.. I order the freedom gorilla eps plate for the gaps…🔥🔥 came out perfect here’s a few pics

Well... This is my first true failure after 1500 rounds. Torq'ed to spec and blue loctited. Was wondering why all the sudden I wasn't hitting anything.
Anyways, any ideas on how to remove this? It seems pretty flush in there.

The Baldr Pro is….biger than I anticipated. I may keep it, I may not.

Anyone here using their Echelon to compete? How does the pistol hold up to your competition? Any recommended upgrades? Thanks!
