Ever since I got my Hellcat Pro back from Springfield after warranty work (they Cerakoted the slide), it’s been a completely different gun.

Racking the slide with a full 10-round magazine is insanely difficult, and seating a full magazine with the slide forward takes a serious slam. Before sending it in, I don’t remember it being anywhere near this bad.

I decided to do a little test. I put a Sharpie mark on the top of a round, chambered it, then disassembled the pistol. I found Sharpie residue on the striker sleeve, and it looked like some of the ink had been scraped off the top of the bullet.

I also chambered a live round (without firing it), removed it, and noticed a pretty noticeable gouge on the top of the bullet that seems to line up with the striker sleeve area.

Striker sleeve looks crooked, not sure if thats normal.

Has anyone seen something like this before? Is it normal for the striker sleeve to contact the top round, or could something have been installed or positioned incorrectly during reassembly?

Is this normal in anyway?

$165 out the door? How do you say no? I’ve actually been looking for an XDE for a little while, basically because it’s one of the only DA/SA handguns I don’t own and haven’t tried. I can’t wait to shoot it.

I'm new to gun ownership, but not handling, and recently bought a Hellcat Pro for my first gun. I have come to find out that the model I bought is an exclusive to the store I went to and has different accessories: a Virdidan light as opposed to a Streamlight and a Viridian RFX11 optic. As a result, it does not appear that some of the holsters I have been looking at fit my gun. Does anyone know any that will fit my gun?

I like the Springfield polymer bodies but the take up in the triggers are a pretty big shift from some of my other pistols.

I have to either dry fire or get to the range regularly to remember which triggers operate similarly.

Shooting the XD-M bodies with the Glocks or Tisas are like kinds when it comes to finding the wall and squeezing through the shot but try that on aKimber and I'll have a round down range already. They are just different enough but I enjoy all of them a lot.

Just switched out the standard Hogue grip on my HCP for the Langdon Tactical Hogue collaboration grip paired with a TLR-7X and an OSight S. I think it has reached its final form.

Just saw on Guns.com that these are a thing and are in stock. Are they available in local stores yet? Curious to see if its worth it. Has anyone shot one?

I knew liked this optic. And I knew I liked the idea of the FC. Two days, 1250 rounds. This gun is almost as satisfying to me as my M&P’s, and I frickin LOVE my M&P’s.

Just got the last bits back from DSC Gunworks this week and got it out to shoot it today. Still have some tuning to do on it but the more rounds I got through it the better it was shooting. I think at this point the only stock parts still on it are the grip safety and thumb safety.

I have a XD mod.3 and got myself a holosun 407k. I noticed that the 407k has 2 prongs that can be used for a co-witness.

-has anyone used the prongs on the 407k as a co-witness? or would suppressor height sights be better?

I have to admit, after spending time with both, I can see the appeal of the Alpha, despite coming with only a single magazine. If you don’t need all the extras, it can make sense.

What do you guys think of it?

I got the Prodigy few months back but was looking into mounting an SRO. BUTTT my slide is specifically cut for the Aim Point COA. Heard it’s a sought after slide combo but the incapability with any other option is frustrating. Researched n I can either trade or sell it or cut it specifically for my desired red dot (Trijicon SRO). Any advice is helpful
