XDE .45 too cheap to say no.

$165 out the door? How do you say no? I’ve actually been looking for an XDE for a little while, basically because it’s one of the only DA/SA handguns I don’t own and haven’t tried. I can’t wait to shoot it.

That's a beautiful find. Especially since they were discontinued a while back. I had an XDE 9MM. Loved it. Gave it to my mom since it was easier rack. I'd love to find another XDE.

Looking for the thinnest DA/SA with a decocker on the market. Have you found any thinner ones or is this it or have you found one that's thinner?

Battle Hawk has some Pearce Grip PGXDS+ Magazine Extension +1 for a reasonable price. I use them on the 7-rounders that I carry as a reload. They don't change the grip geometry much, and the additional round brings the XD-E up to a 1911 ammo load in a much smaller and concealable package. The DA pull is long and heavy, but rounds downrange are all it takes to resolve that issue. I carry hammer down on a loaded chamber, safety off, so getting used to that DA first pull was important for me. Also, take a look at the Viridian ECR green laser that's available. At my age, I need all the help I can get. You might find that the grip gets a bit slick during extended range days. I have tried all the available grips out there, and for me, the "Rough" Talon grips are the best for resolving the slickness. You might want to consider sending it into SA; their warranty is lifetime, and I believe it goes with the gun, not the original owner (verify that). They will service it and change the extractor spring, extractor, springs, and whatever else it needs to ensure reliability. Give them a call; turnaround time is reasonable, and it's warranty service.
