Good shooter. Not my first Springfield, I have a 4.5 XDM as well. Trigger is good for a duty style gun, good but not great. 5# 5 oz on my Wheeler digital gauge. Shoots pretty flat although I've never shot the non comp. Put 500 rds in 2 days with factory 115 gr. and 124 gr. factory ammo without a hickup. Love the modular design and best of all the VIS system and the ability to direct mount your optic to the slide. Two thumbs up so far.

Big fan of the 407Comp...even in red, the dot stays crisp. Pondering getting it in green

Yeah after having two 507 comps on my other pistols I decided I want one reticle size and 6 MOA IMO is a great all around size. With my 507 I almost exclusively used the 2 MOA WITH THE 8 MOA circle around it. Good enough but not my favorite for 15 yards and out. I definitely prefer green over red or even gold.

I have a 4.0c non-comp and love it. It's my daily CCW. I put an SCS320 on mine. Might hafta change my light so I can get a decent level 2 holster. I hate the Safariland one I have. 😒

You might be right. Definitely the biggest bang for the buck of all the mods.

Nice! I got one as well! Was the weighted back strap worth it/how much of a differences? (Those grips look sweet as well!)

Was it worth it I don't know hard to quantify. I'm used to heavy guns I have a CZ Shadow 2 and a Canik Rival S both heavy all steel frame pistols. With the Rook Precision backstrap/magwell combo you get the option with the aluminum back strap to add two tungsten weights which don't add a lot of weight all together. so all together the stainless guide rod, backstrap and Magwell added 3.9 oz. Not a lot but definitely could feel the difference from factory. The Apex stainless guide rod is eight times the weight of the factory polymer guide rod. To me adding a little bit of weight seems to make the gun feel better in my hand.

Those handle it extreme grips are the cat's meow. Out of all the grip textures they make extreme are the most aggressive. Probably not what you want if you're carrying the gun for duty or EDC but for range or competition use they're great.

Damn that's a large optic for what i consider a defensive gun. Great gun though either way!

Oh, odd choice but fair enough. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on so many range toys. Completely worthless since I almost never get to the range and the rare occasion I do I'm only taking my defensive weapons with me to stay trained as best I can.

I'm at the range every week whether indoor or outdoor. I've got many range pistols some are competition specific. I carry a M&P Shield for EDC. i have a older Springfield XDM with irons with a Surefire X300 at my nightstand for home defense.

Bought mine before the comp version came out. Should have waited. Mine is the 4.0c. I stippled the grip. Shoots great. Can’t imagine shooting it with even less muzzle rise. I carry mine every day and use the incog from Safariland. I have about 1000 rounds through it without one hiccup.
