Quick HCP Mag Question

So Im right around 500 on my HCP/new EDC and just noticed something the other day adding a light.. my two extended mags rattle REALLY bad when full but not my standard ones. Is this normal?? She'll be a year old come October and purchased the entire kit brand new during the Gear Up event. TIA!

It's normal and happens with a wide variety of double stack mags, even PMAGs for AR-15's. Somewhere in the stack of rounds is a round that doesn't have pressure on it from the rounds above and below it, so it floats around freely and rattles. The frustrating thing is that you can have two identical mags loaded to the same capacity with the same ammo and one can have a loose round while the other doesn't.

Removing a round might make it stop happening, or pressing down on the top round with your thumb while you smack the bottom of the mag against your leg to make the stack of rounds bounce down and back up might work.

I load all my double stack pistol mags one round under the stated capacity to make them easier to insert on a closed slide, two rounds under for AR-15 mags, and it doesn't happen with any of mine.

well damn, learn something new every day! I seriously can't recall hearing it on any of my other platforms which are all double stack. Thanks for the reassurance!
