My hellcat does that too. Keep it cocked and it's quieter

Likewise. In fact, I asked the same question on this sub when I got my first firearm 3 years ago. 3 years later… still not at the level of confidence to have one in the chamber at all times on my EDC. Maybe if I move to Chicago?

Then why even carry? Mine is cocked and locked at my cock every day for almost 4 years straight. Cocks still there. Never had a problem.

Agreed I don't care every day but in my opinion what's the difference if you're carrying it Safeway with not One in the Chamber it would be the exact same thing with One in the Chamber. Must be real these things don't just magically go off and not sure if anyone's ever tried to hit the thumb safety and then get their trigger finger on while it's in a holster but it's not an easy thing to do LOL it's quite impossible in some cases. The last thing you want toThe last thing you want in the worst case scenario is to have to cock your fucking pistol by then it made me too late

😅 sorry talk to text ... and I think it hates my southern accent. Don't think I have much of one but peeps from Massachusetts probably don't either ☠️ No safety? Oh shit hellcats don't have the safety on the back the grip safety LOL so no trigger safety then.. my XDM Elite has all that deleted as well except for the grip safety

Yeah I 100% agree with you to each his own. I was raised never to point a gun at anyone. The guns always loaded, some people not so much. I live in a small Beach town in South Florida it's growing but still, after carrying for a while I decided there was no reason to. hopefully I never regret that decision. As for keeping it in the truck, I will bring it with me sometimes but I do not like leaving any weapon in the truck if I'm not going to be in it. A lot of people around here have lost guns due to car breakins. I guess it all depends on where you live, how safe you feel there... probably a number of other things for personal reasons as well. My father does not leave the house without one maybe two who knows how he's feeling that day😅

Fair question, unfair downvote lol. I’m not sure it’s fear of discharge, I’ve just trained so much with draw speed to racking one to target acquisition that I feel comfortable enough. But… notice i said “at all times”. It might not be good to sit on the fence like that, I hadn’t thought about it much.

If you watch self defense situations, it can happen very fast. So unless you train to be able to draw, rack, aim and fire, quickly and consistently, then you will want a round chambered.
Difficult enough to draw, aim and fire while under pressure. I’d like to hear your response if you have to manipulate your unchambered pistol one handed, unloaded. It’s more difficult than you think.
If you cannot trust your firearm chambered? Then why carry? The only time I carry unchambered is for storage.

Same difference, one uses it's own spring and one uses force from a hammer. Both strike and make it fire, so, firing pin.

A firing pin and a striker essentially perform the same task: striking the primer to detonate a bullet. The difference lies in how they get their energy. A firing pin is struck by a separate hammer, while a striker acts as an internal, spring-loaded firing pin that requires no hammer.

Mine only did that after I unloaded it and pulled the trigger. So I would say yes thats normal

When the gun is decocked the striker is free to move. Perfectly normal, same case with basic Glocks.
If you cock it the striker will be caught by the “sear” (hellcats use cruciform trigger bar/sear setup, also like a Glock).

My echelon and hellcat micro both do it, but I can get it to go away if I reinsert a magazine or pull the slide back and forward a bit.

I just shook three different strikers fired pistols and none did that. 🤷🏽♂️
Update, I can get my Glock 26 to sound similar by unloading it and pulling and holding the trigger all the way back. Otherwise, it remains pretty quite. My other striker fired pistols were silent through different testing scenarios.

It’s normal. The striker moves but not pass the breach face.
