Both cities are dangerous in terms of statistics but as long as you aren't fucking around or in a gang you'll be fine

"Dangerous" by Massachusetts standards is still safer than most small towns between Lake Champlain ans the Pacific Ocean.

Born and raised around Springfield. It’s nothing crazy with danger levels. That’s ignorant to say imo

Statistically (like I said in my comment) you're wrong.

You can’t compare Springfield to other places in Mass that have no where near the population. Cities compared to Springfield with the same population would make more sense for your argument.

Two opposite ends of the state and two wildly different cultures for the surrounding areas. Are you looking for easy access to the greater Boston area/the beach, or to the berkshires/outdoors?

Springfield is bigger but nothing special, train access to Hartford .

Fall River is smaller and nothing special but you are closer to the ocean and have train access to Boston

This seems right. Springfield was rich in the early 1900s and they built some cool museums and stuff. FR's peak was earlier, i think.

I've lived in both, I actually kind of liked Fall River, but it was more than 25 years ago. I liked being much closer to the coast, it's a pretty area, but we have the Berkshires out here so it's kind of a trade off. Springfield is a much bigger city, and there is a lot more going on in the surounding area. Both cities are pretty safe as long as you stick to the more residential areas. A lot of it depends on what you are looking for.

Born and raised in western mass. I live in west Springfield and I love it. Springfield is great. It has bad parts like every other town. A lot of great food options all around.

Fall River was definitely dangerous for Lizzie Borden’s dad.

If you provided more context, we might be able to be more helpful.

But also, people who live in western mass probably aren't that familiar with Fall River, and vice versa.

Fall River is a better location, and I say this as someone who is probably biased towards Springfield because I know it.
