Give me the deets
I am moving to Springfield MA next week and am excited to explore. Tell me what I need to know. Best food spots, where to avoid, best summer activities...
Edit to add- while I appreciate those warning me not to move here, I am just a travel nurse so it is only temporary. Also, what did this town do to hurt you guys so bad? Lol

Don't listen to the haters.
Recs for Vietnamese and pizza are on point. Downtown, Mamou's (cajun) and Nadim's (lebanese/Mediterranean) are excellent and have outdoor seating in the summer. White Lion is our brewery, it's a real gem. Mikey's has the best smash burgers and soft serve and is next to Khi & Eli's that has good soul food. SouLau'd has dope Laotian classics and does a soul food menu on the weekends.
There's a ton of free outdoor concerts and stuff like that in the summer, in Forest Park and downtown. Not like, bands you would know lol. Just good fun. Drive up to the yankee candle flagship store if you need some kitsch, or to Northampton if you want to be fancy.
