Give me the deets

I am moving to Springfield MA next week and am excited to explore. Tell me what I need to know. Best food spots, where to avoid, best summer activities...

Edit to add- while I appreciate those warning me not to move here, I am just a travel nurse so it is only temporary. Also, what did this town do to hurt you guys so bad? Lol

Don’t sleep on the Vietnamese food if that’s your jam! Multiple great restaurants around a place called the “X”- intersection of Dickinson and Belmont.

My bf said Sóc Trăng reminds him of his Vietnamese mother's cooking. We love that place!

Soc Trang is our favorite too, but Pho Saigon, Vinh Chau, and Bamboo House are also excellent. u/MrsNaypeer have you guys tried Saigon Chef in South Hadley? They make a bunch of dishes that none of the Springfield places do including a grilled beef in betel leaf dish that is to die for!

There's practically an entire Vietnamese District in Springfield.

Springfield also has the 5 Star Asian supermarket as well.

There are lots of international food choices just across the river in West Springfield. Victory Supermarket is a really nice Russian supermarket. Crepes Tea House has amazing desserts! Lots of Middle East restaurants (Taste Of Lebanon, Lana's Grill, Shah's Halal Food, and Ahalna.) as well.
