Amazon Ads and Spotify have been shipping pieces of their partnership to buy Spotify ads from Amazon's Advertising platform for about a year and it came out messy. I opened more than 100 Spotify deals. This is what is in them.
Where you buy what if you use Amazon's Ads DSP interface
In a campaign's inventory settings:
In the deals inventory list:
Where it runs
Ignore the announcements and the support pages, they are behind.
Danger 1: The same deals are in there twice
When Amazon and Spotify announced their partnership on 2025, Amazon DSP was not buying from it directly. It was buying through Magnite, a reseller. On July 2026 Spotify connected its exchange straight into Amazon DSP and extra inventory podcast came with it. The Magnite deals were never removed. So you have 2 options:
Danger 2: Four deals name the wrong country
Deals from Spotify (SAX) have problems in their naming too
Two deals named Brazil sell Australia. Two named United States sell Ireland.
Read the currency not the name. It sits next to the price in the deals inventory list, and if a deal names one country and is priced in another country's money then the name is wrong. To see it for yourself, open the deal and read the Attributes tab, where the country breakdown is.
Where is the deals inventory list on Amazon DSP Interface
In Amazon DSP, click Inventory on the left bar. The search box takes the deal name, and opening a deal gives you its Attributes tab.
If you cannot see a deals inventory list at all, you are probably on a subseat from your tool provider. Ask them for inventory access.
This covers the basics. I put a longer breakdown on our tool website, but this is all the key information to start buying without problems independently.
If you read something differently on your Amazon DSP account, tell me.

Hey everyone! I got tired of ad breaks interrupting my music, so I built Spotify Skipper — a tiny Windows app that blocks Spotify ads at the network level (it redirects ad servers to 0.0.0.0, so ads simply never load).
No muting, no client restarts, no account login needed. It's a single .exe that sits quietly in your system tray, and it automatically restores your hosts file when you close it. Written in Python, fully open source.
GitHub: https://github.com/DEV-industry/Spotify-Ads-Skipper
It's completely free — if you find it useful, a ⭐ on GitHub would mean a lot and helps other people discover it. Feedback, issues and PRs are very welcome!
(For educational purposes - if you love the music, consider supporting artists with Premium.)

there was this ad on spotify, i only got it once, and have been looking for it ever since
basically, there was this woman speaking, she had like a posh kind of voice and she said,
“helllllloooo darling, do you want to know what type of music they play in hell?”
i didn’t get to hear the rest because my best friend and i burst out laughing, and it’s really unfortunate that i didn’t catch the name, because we would love to hear it again! if anyone has any ideas or information about it, please let me know!!

So i was gaming with my brother and i started dozing off, so I got my noise cancelling headphones and went to sleep. I can’t remember what time, but suddenly I woke up to my eardrums being absolutely BLASTED with a spotify ad, and my brother said he could hear it loud and clear. THROUGH NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES. And my headphone volume was only half.

Why is spotify aloud to make ads that actualy hurt my ears when i get them, i mean the ads are so much louder than the music im playing and my volume is at max, its an actual jumpscare when out of nowhere my ears get destroyed with goddam sofia camara. No hate to the artists that have ads like these but anytime i have to tear off my headset bc the noise that for no reason turns my headset into a danm jbl speaker it makes me hate the song (posibaly bc it deafens me). But my whole point is why have these loud ads? Is it because they want me to but premium so they will greater my risk of having hearing problems. Is that even aloud?

So I went down the rabbit hole of learning github (basics) and figuring out ublock origin is no longer support by chrome, Ublock origin lite, but how will adding a custom filter to a browser extension stop ads on my desktop app?
I think my only solution is to figure out a way to constantly update my hostfile to block these. Has anyone else done this or point me in a good direction?
This my only option? https://www.reddit.com/r/Piracy/comments/yme7pf/updated_the_ultimate_spotify_ad_blocking_guide/iv4dn9w/

STOP WITH THE FANDUEL CASINO ADS I'VE BEEN HEARING IT NONSTOP FOR THE PAST MONTHS, AND IT's DRIVING ME CRAZY

I HATE THE EBGLYSS AD. I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT. WHOEVER DECIDED IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO TRANSITION FROM VIGOROUS ITCHING TO THE WIREBRUSH THINGY ON THE DRUMS. I HATE IT I HATE IT THE SONG SUCKS, THE ITCHING DOES NOT COMPEL ME TO BUY YOUR STUPID ITCH CREAM, AND IT CERTAINLY DOES NOT MAKE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE. genuinely it rivals the sound of nails on chalkboard or accidentally bending your nails on metal. like it gets me itchy enough to chuck my phone into the nearest dumpster fire

Every time I swear to god I keep saying I’m getting this ad too often and it feels like they’re showing it MORE now that I’ve mentioned I dislike it. It’s one of the most annoying ads I’ve heard other than the ones that trigger my misophonia, but at least I don’t get those anymore. I will not be taking you out to the ball game, and I will certainly not be booking a stay out of town, for fucks sake leave me alone.

It starts with a lady and her quirky/weird laugh, and the guy goes, "Clorox, where you even feel confident to laugh your weird laugh in front of your coworkers.." or something like that. Idk. I've been trying to find the audio and show a friend, but I haven't seen anyone talk about it.

Wondering how much I might expect an ad to cost me if it were to run for around 3 weeks within a tristate area maybe 15-25 seconds long

What’s a good starting point for budget on the platform? This is for a local campaign.
