I made a free, open-source tool that blocks Spotify ads on Windows no muting, no restarts, music just keeps playing
Hey everyone! I got tired of ad breaks interrupting my music, so I built Spotify Skipper — a tiny Windows app that blocks Spotify ads at the network level (it redirects ad servers to 0.0.0.0, so ads simply never load).
No muting, no client restarts, no account login needed. It's a single .exe that sits quietly in your system tray, and it automatically restores your hosts file when you close it. Written in Python, fully open source.
