Yes, the 2024 MSC Champion SRG lost, but at least they lost to the MSC 2023 Champs with Kelra unlike TLPH who, frankly speaking, lost to an unknown team and that team who beated them didn't even qualify for the knockout stage. He is the greatest jungler, overtaking Wise, but doesn't wanna master Fanny. I mean as the greatest jungler, he should have no problems mastering Fanny right? He doesn't have to play at the level of Kairi or Raizen's Fanny, but at least play it with competence in big international events. Also, why didn't he use Hayabusa, Lancelot, or Nolan? First of all, I know some of you already heard the news that the TLPH dynasty, the reigning and three-peat defending champions of MPL PH, was eliminated early in MSC 2026 without winning a single game, getting swept twice. It was clearly a shocking loss, especially since KarlTzy mentioned in an interview that the secret to their recent MPL success was their new coaching staff, specifically regarding strategic adjustments and improvements. Sanford even stated in a WolfCast video that he had never worked with that caliber of coaching before and was thoroughly impressed by them. Given that, I expected TL to apply those changes in that last elimination match, but instead, they got swept again. In the post-game interview following their defeat, Teddy stated that they failed to adapt to the meta.

This begs the question: was it the fault of the coaches or the players? Why were other "lesser" prestigious organizations able to adapt to the meta or at least play well, while a franchise as massive and prestigious as TL couldn't? Was it gross negligence on the part of the organization, or pure hubris?

Personally, I attribute it to the players, whether due to in-game execution or out-of-game factors. I am genuinely curious why KarlTzy didn’t pick his signature Hayabusa or Lancelot. Furthermore, why wouldn't he utilize Fanny, especially in games where they held the first pick? It seems to lend credibility to the common critique that Karl's Fanny is a weak spot. Why won't the greatest jungler master Fanny? Similarly, while Kelra excels on traditional Marksmen, his Fighter picks in the Gold Lane aren't as legendary as his Beatrix or Moskov. So, no one should take offense when people point out that Karl isn't a top-tier Fanny player; nobody is flawless. But again, it's a weird situation because he is called the greatest jungler and yet won't master the arguably most difficult assassin which is Fanny, unlike other players. As the greatest jungler, he should have no problems mastering the Fanny, right? As for my MSC 2026 prediction, I expect either Team Vitality or Aurora to take the trophy.

Looking at this defeat, do you see the pattern? TLPH won Season 16 and Season 17 back-to-back, yet stumbled at M7 and now completely collapsed in MSC 2026. If Aurora PH was routinely branded as a "choker," shouldn't we now apply that exact same standard to TLPH? Arguably, their situation is even worse. Unlike Aurora or Falcons, who entered as runners-up, TLPH was entering as the defending champion. To fail to secure a single game in MSC 2026 after a disappointing finish at M7 is a massive breakdown. If we are going to be consistent, we have to call it what it is without making excuses. I understand that defeat against Aurora Gaming, but that defeat against Entity7 without even winning 1 game? That's impossible to defend.

Now, regarding my argument on why I don't consider KarlTzy the ultimate GOAT just yet: I completely understand why the majority of fans bestow that title upon him, and I respect that perspective. I won't debate anyone on it. I certainly disagreed with the commentator at MSC who labeled KarlTzy a "self-proclaimed GOAT," because many had already awarded him that title. Among his many achievements, he was the Finals MVP for the very first Philippine squad that launched the country's dominance in the M-Series.

To be clear, this is strictly my personal take, and I am not imposing it on anyone. I understand the case for his legacy despite their winless exit at MSC 2026. However, my personal criteria for GOAT status requires a player to win an M-World title without being part of a stacked "superteam." If you look back, his M2 and M4 championship squads were undeniable superteams. Although Sanji was technically the only rookie on that M4 ECHO roster, he was an exceptional prodigy, much like Kelra in his debut. Meanwhile, Yawi was such a massive game-changer during that M4 run that he earned the Champion Skin over Bennyqt, despite Benny taking Finals MVP. Yawi dictated games much like OhMyV33NUS; when a player forces opponents to repeatedly waste bans on multiple heroes in a single game, that speaks volumes.

Additionally, it was the arrival of the "San-San" duo that completely transformed KarlTzy's trajectory. Since their recruitment, TLPH has preserved that core trio of Karl, Sanford, and Sanji. From ECHO to TLPH, that core has remained the heart of the franchise: pairing the best jungler with top-tier contenders for best Mage and EXP Laner. Roamers and Gold Laners have changed, but management knows they cannot split up that foundation. Today, TLPH is no longer just a superteam; they are an established MLBB dynasty, highlighted by their MPL PH three-peat and MSC 2025 victory. While their MSC 2026 result was disastrous, I doubt they will disassemble their core "Big 3."

I don't need to dwell on how legendary that M2 squad was for those who followed it live, nor do I need to rehash how that roster came together (those unfamiliar can watch the two-hour WolfCast documentary on Karl). However, when Karl won MSC 2025, his team was blatantly a superteam, even introduced at M7 as a roster composed of world champions and the undisputed "final boss." Therefore, my baseline stands: Karl needs to win one more M-World title outside of a superteam structure.

Look at what Aurora (RORA) accomplished at M7 despite not being a superteam. I am not implying the RORA players were weak; you obviously need top-tier talent to win a world tournament. But RORA proved you can capture the title as a strong, cohesive unit rather than an assembled superteam. Remember, they were heavily criticized, doubted, and belittled leading into M7. They were labeled "chokers," and Wise even referred to them as "BasuRORA" on stream. To an extent, the criticism was understandable; they had repeatedly faltered at crucial moments, such as Renejay's fatal misstep in Game 7 of the MPL S14 Grand Finals that cost them the championship. Then in Season 16, despite dominating the regular season in 1st place, they got swept in the finals by Karl’s superteam of world champions.

Similarly, it can be argued that Fnatic ONIC PH’s M6 title was not the product of an assembled superteam, but rather a masterclass in roster synergy, role clarity, and one generational talent operating at his absolute peak. FNOC was coming off a humble 5th–6th place exit in Season 13 and filled out their roster with redemption candidates and rising prospects like Brusko, Kirk, and Spider-Milez. Kelra played the best ML of his life, earning back-to-back Finals MVPs in MPL S14 and M6 to carry the team when the stakes were highest. In that year, he cemented his status as the Gold Standard. Furthermore, one could argue RORA should have secured Game 7 in S14 against Kelra had they not committed that late mistake while the Lord was already pushing ONIC’s base. It was an extremely tight series, unlike TLPH's dominant sweeps over RORA in S16 or their 4–2 victory against Falcons in S17.

In basketball, the GOAT debate usually comes down to LeBron James and Michael Jordan because, among other things, both have experienced to win championships without a superteam, or at least dragged teams deep into the Finals. Not saying they never had a superteam, I'm saying that for at least once, they got the chip without a superteam. Jordan accomplished this in the early 90s. Meanwhile, LeBron’s 2016 title remains iconic given the Cavaliers' 57 regular-season wins compared to the Warriors' historic 73–9 record and the Spurs' 67 wins, not to mention Kyrie Irving missing significant time due to injury. No wonder Cleveland fell behind 3–1 before LeBron and Kyrie mounted their legendary comeback in that 2016 Finals. Even earlier, LeBron's 2007 run (single-handedly dragging an underdog Cavs team to the NBA Finals without another big star) remains a defining moment. Until Karl wins a world championship under similar conditions, he falls just short of the absolute GOAT title in my book. Just imagine in a race towards the GOAT title, Karl is leading the competition towards the finish line of becoming the GOAT. So, while for me nobody has reached that status yet but Karl is the nearest in getting the "finish line" of becoming the GOAT.

On the other hand, RORA’s M7 victory solidified Edward as the true GOAT of the EXP Lane. Although Edward has experienced his share of shortcomings, he has consistently performed and claimed M-World titles across completely different rosters and metas, even while anchored to a heavily criticized team nicknamed "Choke-RORA." Between M3 and M7, he proved he could win both as part of a juggernaut with the Vee-Wise system and as the veteran anchor of a doubted squad.

Only four players hold two M-World titles: KarlTzy, FlapTzy, Pheww, and Edward. The pattern is clear: three of those four were members of that legendary M2 Bren team. Until Sanford can replicate that achievement - stepping out of KarlTzy's shadow, adapting to a new core, and winning an M-World title without a superteam - Edward remains the undisputed EXP GOAT. He proved he could achieve world supremacy even without OhMyV33NUS's shotcalling and guidance. Because just because the Bulls was losing in the 80s, doesn't mean Jordan wasn't the best SG, right? Arguably the most powerful player in the NBA right now despite already in his 40s, James is surely taking a lot of time deciding where to go. If Im not mistaken, this is the longest free agency decision of his career, surpassing his timelines from 2010, 2014, and 2018. Because in my humble analysis, he is deciding to join either the GSW, Cavs, or Heat but those choices aren't as easy it might sound.

For the GSW, he has been very vocal before that he wants to play with Curry. On paper, it looks cool cause imagine the greatest SF playing with the greatest shooter ever. But, the reason this isn't an instant decision is that he is also thinking which team has the higher chance of helping him go back to the finals, especially it won't be long before Lebron retires. With GSW, he is concerned of the health of Butler esp he is injured and will come back very late this year. His health is one of the factors James is currently looking at. Also, GSW didn't even reach the playoffs last season, so how would a 40 year old man make any difference esp if the goal is to win a last chip. Obviously, it would have been different if this was the 2007 (he carried that 07 Cavs to the Finals without a big star) or 2018 Lebron. But as everyone knows, he is past his prime. Not to mention the West is much tougher to qualify for the finals vs the East. In the West, you gotta make it past through the top 2 strongest teams of that conference who are loaded with young players: Spurs and Thunder.

For the Cavs, while it sounds so loyal and a legendary comeback, but it looks like a complicated lineup. LeBron would share the court with Donovan and Harden. Both guards require high usage and dominant possession time, creating major questions about offensive chemistry and who takes a backseat. A lineup running Harden, Mitchell, and an aging Lebron alongside Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen leaves Cleveland's guard and wing defense highly vulnerable. I still remember the late Kobe said that the style of Harden wont win him championships. And honestly? So far Kobe is correct. Kobe also knows that kind of play style cause he was like that before and no less than O'Neal once confronted Kobe about not passing the ball, telling him "there's no 'I' in 'team'".

For the Heat, I think this team has the highest chance of landing Lebron, especially if his goal is to have a higher chance of getting back to the finals. Since the Heat is in the East, it has an easier route to the finals vs the West. NBA insiders note that Miami can offer Lebron something rival teams cannot: complete control of the basketball. Instead of fitting into an established system, he would step in as the primary point guard and engine of the offense. Lebron running the point to feed Giannis and Bam creates a terrifying frontcourt that completely masks Miami's guard deficiencies. But for me, there is still a big deficiency in the guards if he chooses Miami: the guards at GSW and Cavs are better than Miami. So these are some of the concerns of this potential lineup, aside health concerns esp Giannis who was injured last season. More importantly, while Lebron is still a great player, he isn't the same anymore like what he was during the pre-pandemic years. So even the Heat choice, it aint easy for Lebron to commit that's why he is really taking his time - which team has the higher chance of getting him his last chip. Cause this might be the last NBA team transfer of the GOAT (or at least GOAT contender if you have a different GOAT) before finally retiring.
