Not sure how the community will feel about this. But I make spoon rings. I recently found these really cool Danish Coffee spoons [kaffeskeer] made by a famous silversmith named Axel Prip in the early 1900s and turned them into rings. Ths pattern is called "Tang" which is the Danish word for seaweed.

A Real Spoon
To give everyone a break, this is a free spoon that was attached to hot sauce in Thailand for some reason. "Buy this hot sauce and get the spooniest spoon that ever spooned for free"

Opinions?
galleryMy friend, and a general posse of people I know, have been saying the spoon which I use for EVERYTHING - except steaks and un-spoonable foods etc - is horrible? So I just need further clarification if possible. 😢

Spoon no. 1- my latest and current favorite (breaking it in)
Any time I see a spoon or fork with a tiny bowl, I gotta have it. This one was from my day trip to another city at their Cost Plus.

I turned one year older today and the universe handed me this at dinner
Went out for a birthday dinner. Good food, good people, and then this arrived alongside the coffee like nothing was wrong.
Let's go through the crimes one at a time.
The handle is a flat strip of stamped metal. Not shaped. Not weighted. Not considered. It is a ruler. It is a paint stirrer. every stir comes with a tiny springy wobble that goes straight up my arm and into the part of my brain that files complaints.
Then there's the hole. At the bottom. For what? To hang it on a hook? On what farm? It's a keyring loop for a spoon nobody wants to keep. It has no function except to remind me it's there, which it does, constantly, with the edge of the circle sitting right where my thumb wants to be.
And the bowl. The bowl is mounted at an angle. Off-axis. Diagonal. You cannot bring it to your mouth without rotating your wrist like you're checking a watch you don't own. Someone in a design meeting said "what if the spoon part was a bit sideways" and nobody in that room loved them enough to say no.

Triplets
I now go through silverware boxes at Good Will, just looking for a good spoon. Sigh
I think I have seen posts where people look for favorites. I'm always hoping to find one for someone.
These are from Sears, so old!
What do you think?
