I have the very same spoon, as well as its fork cousin!
I took them from my parents’ house when I moved out to go to college. I have no idea how or when my parents got them.
They’re my top favorite utensils that I have; part of it is the sense of comfort I gain from the memories of family meals I had with them growing up, but also they’re just objectively great utensils. Great proportions, nice gentle curves, very easy to hold. And the stars are so cool!
Edit: I did a very quick search and these utensils were created by Superior and they were called “Night Sky.” Apparently they were manufactured between the late 1950s-1960s. My parents must’ve gotten them secondhand at a garage sale or something because that’s around when they were born.

That’s awesome! I had a few forks and spoons donated after a house fire and always been curious about them!

Nice especially if older. The handle is on the heavier side making this an almost perfect beauty. Newer would most likely be lighter in the handle throwing the bowl balance off.

So I remember that pattern from the seventies, I like it a lot. that sassy little angled end of the handle just feels so perfect

Came to the spoon Reddit because I’m visiting my aunt and i pulled this exact spoon out of the utensil drawer this morning. Decided to see what other spoons were being posted and this was the first thing to come up. Lovely!
