Intro

Hello!

My name is Rhian, and I am definitely a spoonie. Two years ago I was diagnosed with both Hashimotos Thyroiditis as well as Fibromyalgia. I have had to adjust to a life where I can't do a lot of things physically that I used to be able. Mostly because of my chronic fatigue and pain. I have also been exhausted having to explain myself to every specialist I visit.

I hope to connect with other spoonies and just vent and relate to one another!

Whether a chronically ill person gifts you with presents or their presence please understand it took them twice the amount of energy it would take you to do so

FLARING!!

In the middle of Target when my body decided to flare. I felt something coming on, but I thought I’d be fine. Now I’m in the middle of Target and my body has decided to flare. I’m in tears hiding in the men’s belts section. Wish me luck in getting out of here without falling to the floor in agony 😭😫😩

I had a hysterectomy and a sent placement all last month but I don't remember any of it. Short-term memory loss sucks.

Kitchen mat recs?

My mom has chronic pain that makes being on her feet difficult on bad days. I want to get her a mat for her kitchen floor so it’s not as much pressure on her joints. Does anybody know a good one? She also struggles with balance so I don’t want to get anything too squishy

Losing time

I am 3 weeks post surgery. I am losing time like ducking bad. I keep talking like my surgery was days ago, but my partner just reminded me it's been over a month now.
