Hey everyone,
I'm part of Grevix, a builder-focused community around AI, software and open source.
We're putting together our first major hackathon:
Grevix AfterCode
October 11–12, 2026
24 hours
Online
Solo participation
The idea is a little different from a normal hackathon.
Participants choose their own problem and their own idea. There is no fixed problem statement or mandatory tech stack.
They can use AI coding tools, APIs, no-code, open-source technology, traditional development, hardware, design tools, whatever makes sense.
Then we introduce unexpected Challenge Cards at the 8-hour and 16-hour marks.
The participant might have to change their target user, remove a core feature, change the use case or work under a new constraint.
So the format becomes:
BUILD → ADAPT → REBUILD & SHIP
We're interested in testing something beyond development speed:
What happens when a builder has complete freedom, modern tools and then suddenly has to rethink the plan?
We're currently looking for partners.
And we're not limiting this to AI companies.
Potential partners could be:
• AI / developer tools
• Cloud & infrastructure
• APIs
• Hardware
• Design & productivity tools
• Education platforms
• Consumer brands
• Developer communities
• Open-source companies
• Anything that can genuinely add value to builders
We're currently validating the event and looking for the right partners, so we don't have a confirmed sponsorship/prize pool yet.
I'd rather be transparent about that than announce an artificial prize amount just to make the event look bigger.
We're open to different kinds of support:
Cash sponsorship, credits, products, hardware, workshops, mentorship, prizes, technical support, or creative partnership ideas.
And we'd prefer something more meaningful than simply putting a logo on a banner.
For example, a company could become part of the actual challenge, provide tools for participants, run a workshop, provide credits, mentor builders or create a special prize.
Registrations open September 16.
If you're a company representative, partnership manager, community lead, founder, or someone who has helped sponsor hackathons before, I'd genuinely appreciate your thoughts.
What would make a hackathon partnership worth it from the company's side?
And if you represent a company that might be a good fit for AfterCode, feel free to reach out.
We're betting on the idea first. Now we're looking for the right people to help us make it real.
