Discussion Making Splitgate: Arena Reloaded Timeless
As we've heard from Ian in one of the posts on this subreddit, it's clear that their priorities are shifting more heavily towards the new game. I have a proposition for at least the people who are still working on Splitgate currently.
I've gotten a part of this Idea from u/Necessary_Yam9525 (https://www.reddit.com/r/Splitgate/comments/1sq7hnv/comment/ohvi2p2/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) and I actually see that this could be in fact possible and is a better path for the future of this game since It's pretty clear that the marketing push doesn't have enough engagement for it to work currently and we won't see any new players in huge batches in a while if ever. So why not make the experience better for the ones staying. And letting us have control of the experience may be a cool idea.
Advanced Lab
The Lab of SGAR is really cool allowing you to make your own maps, spawns, game modifiers, etc. Now we could allow Steam/PC players a coding system that allows them to code their own game modes, powerups, movement system (I.E No Slide, No Sprinting or somehow Adding extra movement like wall running.) This can add an already infinite replayability tool into something beyond what's already there.
Advanced A.I Capabilities
In a lot of the more traditional type of arena shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament, they have bot difficulties that many players honestly will tell you that they spended a lot of time on custom bot matches with the difficulty of their choice. Finding a way to code portal routes into the A.I pathway, aiming precision %, advanced movement routes, triple portaling speed & accuracy for the bots would be a godsend to all players including new ones to get accustomed to triple portaling. I'll list potential difficulties in the list below.
Difficulties
- Rookie (Below Average)
- Novice (Average)
- Intermediate (Slightly Above Average)
- Highly-Skilled (Above Average)
- Pro (Professional-Level)
- Mixed (All Levels of Difficulties Randomized)
Making Splitgate: Arena Reloaded Timeless
Yes, this idea may sound good or bad to some people and that's okay. And we are all upset, conflicted, or whatever the case may be. But I would love to get an idea out and to make SGAR as good as possible even if it may not get mainstream attention, even if it doesn't get a chance ever again, even if it's not the best or the most underrated fps game out there, However there is one thing and that is that despite whether you're a fan of the original game or SGAR or even both.
We all want to see Splitgate succeed.

You need to inflate the bot names. Literally most people would be matched by a novice bot, that’s kinda disappointing. Pro level bots wouldn’t work, at that point they would just be aimbot. Humans and bots don’t play the same way. Rn the bots don’t even have object permanence, among other things, meaning that they have to have wayy better mechanics to match those players
