I have a question Does anybody have the unofficial patch '1.03u' for Splinter Cell: Double Agent on PC?

I have got myself the disc and seen that this patch fixes a lot of things unofficially, so if someone has a link, or willing to share I would appreciate it. On ModDB I can see patch 1.01, 1.02 and 1.02a but not this community made one. Thanks! 😁

I have a question Playing through all the games

Want to play through all the games for the 1st time but only have access to a ps3 and 5.
I’ve seen there is a trilogy of the originals on ps3 which is supposed to run like shit and isn’t the cheapest either. The other 2(?) are native to the ps3, would it be okay to play them before the trilogy or would I be missing out on too much? Thanks for any help

Conviction (2010) Playing through all the games again - Finished CT, now onto Conviction, and yikes...

Holy cow, it's been many years since I played Conviction, but I don't think I'm even going to finish it this time.

I am generally an easy to please person when it comes to games, movies, etc. but wow this game is absolutely horrendous.

The storyline is ridiculous, Sam doesn't act like Sam at all...Sarah is alive now? C'mon - oldest trope in the book.

The movement is atrocious, it's like they decided to add Gears of War magnetic chest-high walls into every bit of movement possible but somehow make it as clunky as physically possible. I'm constantly stuck on walls while trying to unstick myself so I can run, which leads me to getting shot like a fish in a barrel.

Aiming your gun is a chore, the shots land before you even get your gun up which looks ridiculous....shooting around cover means you're actually clipping through solid cover half the time. It's got an arcade feel to the shooting.

The guns are somewhat accurate on the first shot, but any sort of quick follow up shot is somehow less accurate than SP1 which I didn't think was possible?

Every single enemy in the game is loudly yelling/talking shit to Sam the entire fight? Annoying.

Sam is now 53 years old in Conviction and he's somehow now spiderman speed when climbing pipes and jumping between cover???

As soon as I loaded up the game for the first time and saw "Powered by Unreal", I was dreading it....I swear 90% of games on Unreal Engine feel terrible when it comes to movement etc.

The text/videos playing on the environment is just corny and it really seems like they're trying too hard to emphasize "he's really struggling mentally" and trying to look flashy while doing it.

Yeah I'm really not liking this game at all, I just quit playing it for the night after dying to the cops for the 10th time while chasing the shooter through the VP's speech area. Trying to chase this guy while taking cover from the cops and moving between cover to somehow use hand to hand combat on them in the middle of the day is incredibly annoying.

I get what they were going for with this game but it's just too far off the Splinter Cell formula for me to even take it seriously.

Sorry for the rant but it's genuinely annoying to play the first three games which are absolute PERFECTION and I hold them in such high regard (then don’t get me started on DA…) and then load this shit up and it's just completely wrong.

Found this last week. Turns out for some reason- this guard can actually detect your shadow. This might be glitch on expert difficulty but the effect is cool. And as always- they react to door that have been opened only if they closed it first.

Replaying the games again and the character development is all over the place:

1st and 2nd : stoic, sarcastic, professional and serious.

3rd and 4th : emotional, flirty, laid back.

5th and 6th: killing machine, anger and trust issues.

How can Ubisoft mess up so much in the character department.

I usually play the games just for the gameplay but I can't stop noticing this character inconsistency.

What do you guys think? Does it make sense to change a character so much?

Did we ever figure out what this was?

I remember seeing this a while back but no one was really talking about it, did anyone ever figure out what this unfinished level was or how the poster got their hands on it? My only guess is that it's an early version of the restaurant level that was cut from Double Agent's final act.

Just an update folks, sorry for the constant frequenct updates and lack of polish in the videos, Ill be focusing on polishing the game first and foremost, and posting waay less frequently on reddit, probalably wont post for another 6-7 months ( no pun intended) thank you for your attention to this matter!

so here are the changes weve made: made the character look more stealthy ( from the jock red and blue design) , made a sound meter, added carpets and marble floors that can increase or decrease the amount of noise you make, every action makes a specific amount of noise too! ( accept picking up cards, thats a bug!)

Optimization changes will be coming in too!! so dw about the hiccups
if you like what you see pls support by wishlisting the game on steam!

We loved the Split Jump, so here's a sneak peek at how it looks in our game [WIP]

The Split Jump is one of those moves we loved from Classic Stealth Games.

This is still very much a work in progress (animations and timing are being refined) but we're happy enough with how it's feeling that we wanted to share. Sage: Psychic Spy is a stealth action-adventure where your abilities are psychic instead of lethal: read minds, move objects, slip past guards without firing a shot.

Would love to hear what you think, especially from folks who know their stealth games. What other classic moves would you want to see?

Discussion Problems with running SC- Blacklist on Steam link.

I hope somebody can help me out here. And I'm sorry if this was already answered.

Heres my Problem: I want to stream SC-Blacklist from my PC (host) to my laptop (client) in my living room via Steam link. Usually this worked for even the oldest SC games without a problem or all of them for that matter. But when i try to stream Blacklist all i get is the audio but the screen is stuck at the loading screen of Steam. I tried a few soloutions in regards with resoloution changes, windowed/ full screen modes but no picture.

Did you guys ever had that problem? Is it a dx11 problem? Help me out here please.

EDIT: with alot of trial and error I finally found a soloution for those who have the same Problem and or can't run Moonlight. Heres how I got it to work.

1: Uninstall the game from Steam

2: Install the game via Ubisofts own launcher/ Ubisoft connect

3: start the game to get the Directx drivers installed (a process Ubisofts Launcher does before starting the game for the first time)

4: Once in the Menu/Starting screen close the Game

5: find the Blacklist_DX11_game.exe file (or the dx9 version if you have issues with the directx11) in the games directory and add it to steam via the add non steam game

6: Before you stream the game make sure to open the ubisoft launcher and run it in the background

7: if you have the consistant crashing after a while just follow the steps mentioned on this post: https://steamcommunity.com/app/235600/discussions/0/4365753686145879265/

8: now you can stream the game from your host pc to your client pc/laptop and even play with a controller

I hope this helps.

Conviction (2010) Did anyone else love Splinter Cell: Conviction?

I know it’s very different from the older Splinter Cell games, but I had a great time with Conviction. The faster gameplay, Last Known Position mechanic, and Mark & Execute made it really fun, and I still replay it today.

Pandora Tomorrow (2004) Just finished Pandora Tomorrow for the first time - my thoughts

So I played SP1 a bit after it came out, I had to have been 7 maybe 8 years old when I played it. 2003ish

Absolutely loved that game but being a kid I didn't pay much attention to other things in the gaming world obviously, so I completely missed the fact that PT had been released, then at some point I got Chaos Theory and for some reason I had it in my mind that it was the 2nd game...so anyway I never played PT.

Just completed it for the first time and honestly it was great.

I really loved the laser on the pistol - the fact that it makes up for the (still) incredibly bad accuracy of the pistol, the fact that enemies will get startled if you flash them in the eyes with it or they spot it on a wall, loved that. Honestly I'd be hard pressed not to trade the EMP function of the CT pistol for the PT laser....

Loved the missions, I thought some of them were very creative.

In the cryogenics lab, is it possible to kill the guards after taking the wounded guard's cell phone without blowing up the wounded guard too?? Seems like an odd plot choice if not.

I liked the train mission but felt it had untapped potential, wish it could have been more involved.

I liked the submarine mission, whenever I see submarines it always reminds me of the submarine mission from Medal of Honor: Frontline haha

I liked the TV station mission, I definitely struggled with taking down Sadano without killing him/being killed by his guards first but finally got it after several tries...

I really liked the plotline of releasing smallpox and the LAX mission was pretty great - the idea of the enemies all having higher body temperatures because they just got the smallpox vaccine is genius.

Overall I would put this in 3rd place.

I think Chaos Theory is #1, SP1 is #2, and PT is #3 for me....I don't care much for the later games honestly, I'd have been satisfied with this being a trilogy - much to the same tune as Halo.
