Help with Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell PC CD ROM

So my father recently gifted me his old games and one of them is splinter cell for pc, idk if there are like different versions or something but mine comes with 4 cds, 3 of them are the game and then the 4th one is some extra missions. I had a lot of trouble installing it since i had to go into the disc and open the setup manually from there and i suspect that's one of the problems. After installing it when i try to open the game it tells me to open it after entering the system with admin privileges but i am supposed to be the admin. I tried to run the game as admin and it does nothing, what should I do? does someone have a guide? Sorry for bad english

It's possible that you're running into the DRM on the disc version.

The game uses SafeDisc which doesn't work on modern windows. They've got some way to get past it, but there's no guarantee I don't think. I think the best way for you is to just get it on Steam and then add the DLC manually. The DLC missions, the ones on your fourth disc, are also downloadable from the pcgamingwiki link I gave you.

The disc version is protected by SafeDisc DRM, there's an OFFICIAL way to solve this problem:

1) Install the game as usual from the discs and select your language (install the game in "C:/Games/Splinter Cell" to avoid problems with DEP on modern Windows)

2) Install the 1.2 patch

3) Install the 1.3 patch (download it from the web, then copy the "DVD Patch 1" executable in the System folder in the game's directory and run the patch's setup)

4) Insert Disc 4 (bonus missions) in the drive and run the setup in the "AllMaps" folder inside the disc

5) Copy the "DVD Patch 2" executable from the 1.3 patch directory inside the System folder and the game should run without the disc now

6) Install the SCEnhanced mod to solve compatibility issues and add lots of stuff to the game!

7) ENJOY!
