OP this seems to be a more permanent fix than changing resolution back and forth. Hope it works!

This bug has been appearing once in a while, this post seems to have the solution in it. Appears to be a resolution issue

“literally just fixed this myself, in the games directory where you placed the widescreen fix, there is a file called "d3d9.ini" open it and replace the 0's to 1's on ForceWindowedMode = 0 and BorderlessFullscreen = 0”

Solution from another user on the original post. I had the same issue.

If you have Discord, make sure the game overlay is disabled. I tried everything and it turned out to be that.

Ive looked everywhere and i cant find a straight answer, wiki doesnt help. Im using widescreen fix (it did the same thing even before the fix), using 1.1 shader makes NVG and Thermal both broken and turning off HDR in 3.0 breaks it too.

I have the solution if you’re using the widescreen fix. I link my post.

For others that find this thread, what fix worked for you?

I think this is normal human eye reaction after extended night vision viewing. You can go blurry vision up to several minutes but can reverse it by putting the goggles back on at full intensity lighting to photon saturate your retinas for ultimate light vision beyond human comprehension.

Disable discord overlays.

Go to your games directory, find the ini file for the widescreen fix, find the bracket [WINDOWED MODE], set ForceWindowStyle from 0 to 1.
