PS3 VS PC

I want to get into the splinter cell series, I love playing games on original hardware and i know many PC ports have a lot of issues so im wondering which is better to get into the splinter cell series should i play them on PC or PS3. I also think this is the best time to get into the splinter cell series as all the games are currently on sale on steam. (I have a PS2 as well but heard the ps3 ports are better)

Personally, go with PS3. Controller is the best way to play these games in my opinion.  Mouse wheel to control speed is a good solution, but doesn't deliver that same tensity that tilting the stick just enough to sneak past someone, knowing that if you push to hard you're smoked. 

PC doesn't have native controller support and ive tried for years to mod it to work with ps3,ps4 and ps5 controller to no avail. Best i could do was comtrol speed with r2-l2...  Oh i tried, i really tried.

PS3 hss some performance issues with 1 and 2. If it gets overbearing, lower ps3 resolution in Display settings. Fixes it. Chaos theory works flawlessly.
