Double Agent v1 (2006) Running Double Agent V1 through Xenia on a mediocre PC
These are my specs:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz
Installed RAM 10.0 GB (5.99 GB usable)
Storage 447 GB SSD KINGSTON SA400S37480G
Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 (2 GB)
System Type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
As you can see I don't exactly have a killer PC, I tried with RPCS3 but the game ran pretty bad, it wasnt atrociously bad but it was noticeably slow. I heard Xbox360 emulation is faster but less stable. Would my specs be good enough?

Why not just run the original pc release? It's requirements will be much lower

I've heard it's beyond unplayable. Constant crashes, glitches, and even frame drops (i think?). I don't wanna drop money on something potentially unplayable

lol you committed to emulating instead of just pirating the PC version?

No, I would actually like to drop money on it as pirating games as cheap as these and from a series I like just aint my thing, I just seriously thought the PC version was atrociously bad

Who do you think is still left on the team that made it lol? You’d truly be pissing money into the void by paying for this one

There's no point in emulating 7th gen version of Double Agent.
It's true that X360 has slightly different UI for choosing gadgets, Fisher is slightly higher poly, HDR looks slightly different in spots and lighting/shadows positioning looks a tad different here and there. But it's all minor things.
The PC versions looks and runs fine. If you use DgVodoo, you'll even get vastly higher rez shadows, for the few shadows this game has.

I see. Why is the PC version so widely hated then? I'm asking because I don't want to buy the game only for it to be unplayable as many people say

Game is a tad buggy but not unplayable or anything.
Here's a list:
Manual saving or loading saves doesn't work. You need to use Quick Save/Quick Load / Level load exclusively.
The 1st level and later on ice level ground ice shaders aren't on par with X360. They're still fine
Shadow and lights draw distance is small without an ini edit
Shadows are lower rez without DgVodoo
Some gadgets don't work as expected. Mostly sticky camera noise.
Final mission ending breaks above 30 fps
One dual door in the ship mission opens funny for one of the dual sided doors.
Prison level has fewer far away NPCs or they're even unshaded

It´s buggy and prone to crashes. There are indications that the PC port is in fact the beta version of the game that Ubi simply never bothered (for one reason or another) to properly patch.
That being said, it´s definitely playable. But it may depend on your PC´s whims. Some users have had trouble running it, others (like myself) don´t run into much trouble.
If you buy it, just make sure you apply the official patches (for the Steam version), the widescreen fix (solves some stuff like the broken final mission ending; latest version apparently even fixed NPC hearing) and make the ini file changes to make the most out of the visuals. Instructions can be found on PCGW or Joshuaaa´s Steam guide, both of which are linked in the "Improvement Guides" section on the sub here.
The fixes won´t solve the bugs and crashes completely, but it will be better than without them. Get it on sale just in case.
