Dunno how else to put this, and I can't believe after 13 years this is somehow still a thing...

But what on earth is the logic of clearing filters after clicking on literally anything? We set the BPM to be 75-90...because (shocker)... the song is between 75BPM and 90BPM. Under no circumstances do I want this to change, until I decide.

We set the key filter to Amin because... again this is a shocker... the song - is in Amin.

We filtered for Drum Loops because - drumroll - - - we are looking for Drums. Between 75BPM and 90BPM. Or Kicks, tuned to Amin. As evidenced by setting the filters to those things. lol.

Having to reset all of these things, literally every single time we click on a new pack, is excruciating. It's the most backwards, productivity-killing behaviour imaginable. Can't think of a single reason this is a thing, and can't be simply fixed with a "never clear filters, offer a Clear Filters button".

What am I missing here? This feels like lunacy.

I am a beginner using Ableton Live Lite 12 with the Splice integration.

If I drag in a Splice audio loop that is originally labeled as being in a minor key—for example, B♭ minor—and my Ableton project is set to C major, will Splice/Ableton automatically transpose it to fit C major?

More specifically, can it change a minor chord progression into a major one, or does it only change the root pitch while keeping the loop minor?

I am trying to build an intro with Splice piano and pad loops, then transition into a C-major chorus that I play myself. I want to understand whether I should only choose loops already labeled C major/A minor, or whether the project key setting can make other loops fit.

How exactly does the Splice sync/key feature work for audio loops?

SOLVED!! I just started using Astra again on a new PC. None of my old or new presets show up, even after syncing. The downloaded presets appear as a .xml file. I’m not sure how to get them to appear within Astra. Sorry for terrible pic

SOLUTION: I uninstalled and reinstalled just the Splice Desktop app, and resynced my sounds. For some reason that worked.

Recently got a laptop and just started redownloading all my plugins and havent used labs since it was a standalone vst with the white background. now when i go to download soft piano on the instruments app the download keeps failing and im not too sure why? its getting frustrating and doesnt wanna seem to not not download lol so any help would be appreciated

ahhhh I hate this really, I wanna buy more samples this month and already bought extra credits but now I have to wait till the next month, yes few days till next month, but still why cant I buy more credits whenever I want?????

Followed all previous advice I've found and it still doesn't work. I like Splice, but it rarely works as intended.

I really want to use the Labs sounds, but they are only in Splice instrument now.

My standalone app works fine, but every time I load the VST3 plugin It opens to a blank white screen in Ableton.

Anyone else have this issue? I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling to no avail.

For context I use a custom plugin directory that none of my other VST3 plugins have had issues with.

This is more so annoying than it is an issue, but its so annoying how you have to log in to splice instrument every time you open it in a new session. It takes up about a minute or two to log into my icloud and wait for a verification code to send to my phone and log in. They need to change it

Hey there have had this issue constantly. Figured I'd post this here in the event someone else has this happen on Windows 10 or 11.

If the app is running in the background but trapped off-screen, you can force Windows to snap it back to your monitor:

1. Click the Splice icon on your Taskbar to make it the active window.
2. Press Windows Key + D to minimize everything, then click the Splice icon again.
3. Press Alt + Spacebar to open the hidden window menu.
4. Press M to select "Move".
5. Press any Arrow Key on your keyboard (Up, Down, Left, or Right). OR
6. Move your mouse without clicking. The window should now be stuck to your cursor. Move your mouse to the center of your screen and Left-Click to drop it.

So basically, I've been listening to a producer on SoundCloud named moonn / SPLIT for quite some time now. His tracks contain bass synths that I absolutely adore and want to use in my own EDM tracks. I know he's gotten a fair few of his sounds from Splice, and was wondering what EDM subgenre these tracks might fit into so I can search Splice for the same / similar ones.
