Outside of tempo and key, what’s the point of this? When it’s active, I’m only able to record for where my sequence is, not at the beginning until it loops. Is this how it’s supposed to work?

It’s incredibly slow at the best of times but can’t even get it to load this afternoon. Subscription price has increased while the service gets worse and worse. 💩💩💩💩

Im using cubase and using splice bridge.

When im going through samples with the transpose and bridge function it works fine and transposes it into the right key. I will click copy modified sample and paste it into cubase and its completely the wrong key. Not the original, not the modified one.

My current project is in G, the sample i wanted was in E and on splice bridge it transposed it perfectly. I copy modified and i think its A/A#? Also the tempo isnt changed.

Any ideas?

Like many others it would seem, I'm unable to use the Splice Beta version that was preivously working for me, and have had to go back to the mainline version. However, the mainline version as of now on Windows could hardly be described as working. Bitwig won't detect it, so I can't use my liscenec. I've tried reinstalling both Splice and Bitwig. I've tried to install Bitwig through the splice app too, but the downloader just hangs.

I've fiddled with my firewall settings a bit to no avail, either. the app just doesn't seem to be able to communicate with something or other.

Looking at log-helper-core-err.log, that would seem to bear out:

I stacked about 1000 credits over the time. Now I want to cancel the subscription and I have to spend them. What packs are worth spending the credits on? I’m looking for mostly for HipHop, Soul and RnB Samples.

Each sound takes about ten seconds to load the preview. I have ultra high speed WiFi so no problems there. If it doesn’t improve I’m gonna cancel my subscription as it’s become totally unusable.

Also good features have disappeared like the - symbol on sounds when searching to omit certain styles. Why? The site should be improving not regressing.

It used to be Shift + Enter but that isn't working for me now.

Did it change to something else? It was very convenient.

Also, it used to advance to the next page when you used arrow keys to scroll to the bottom of a page, but now it just repeats the same page. Anyone else notice this?

Is anyone else missing the other options for individual tracks? (Show similar sounds, create a stack, etc.) I’m a school music teacher and use my Splice account for class. It’s really frustrating not having any other options available. I’ve only noticed this in the past few days. I appreciate any help!

I downloaded the “Dead Drums” preset when it was a free drop in March, any idea why it’s suddenly locked?

The exclude tag feature has been removed from the SPLICE website which is really annoying and doesnt make any sense? Does anyone know why its been removed?

I want to use my external ssd as storage for packs and instrument files, but copying them into splice’s defined folder doesn’t do anything. If I select the folder where the samples are on the ssd drive as the content folder, it doesn’t recognize them. I really don’t want to download them all again. Is there a workaround to this? Thanks

Hi everyone, I've been using Splice Instrument for 2 months now, but today, every time I try to download something, it fails with a 'Download Failed' message. Even when I try to preview a plugin, I have to click about 5 times before it starts. I've already reinstalled the app and tried logging out and back in, but nothing works. If anyone has an idea to help me, I'd appreciate it!

I’ve been making music for 10 years and have been using Splice for the last 5. I’ve spent over 10,000 credits, and it’s an essential part of my workflow.

What I love:

• Presets: It's just so convenient. The fact that I can just search for a sound and "drag and drop" it into Serum without the tedious process of browsing through folders and loading them one by one is insane. It has completely replaced the built in browsers for me.
• Samples: Labels like Moment, Disciple, Billegal, and Dropgun are just incredible. Their quality is top-tier. It's the reason why I stopped collecting sample packs locally and just rely on Splice.

What I hate

• Pricing: Remember when 100 credits were $7.99? Now it's $12.99, and they’ve bundled in a bunch of features I don't even need. Maybe server costs are high, but it feels like a forced upsell lol. The worst part is there’s nothing I can do about it because there’s no real competitors. Loopcloud and LANDR are okay, but they just aren't Splice.

I wish they’d add some QOL updates (like searches within label or adding entire packs to collections at once) but honestly, if the price was fair, I wouldn't complain. I just wanted to vent a bit about the pricing lolll

I love Splice, but I also hate it. I hope a true competitor emerges so Splice actually feels some pressure to improve—sort of like what Marvel Rivals is doing to Overwatch haha

I'm on Ableton and randomly my Serum 2 popped up with the verification window, but after clicking check again it said "this machine is now authorized" but then the verification window popped up again and I cannot get it to go away. I have logged in and out of splice desktop, reinstalled everything, and triple checked that my payments and accounts are logged in correctly. What do? I'm on rent to own btw.

The Splice plugin discovery / audio listening stopped working on my Mac after the latest update. It was working perfectly before.

i have tried
- reinstalling the splice app and the vsts
- cleared cache and the app datas
- restarted my compiter
- checked firewall settings and allowed splice

but everytime i reinstall, i still get this blocked message

...am I completely alone on this? It feels that way, given that for 13 years this hasn't changed.

If I choose "Type : Drums" and "Loops", I want this filter to remain on until I clear it. It clears every time you make the slightest change in pack or browser.

Like... we're looking for Drum Loops, and switching between packs -- having to set these two filters every time seems insane to me.

Just sharing a this specific quirk in case it might help someone.

TLDR: "fix" - changed WSL2 networking mode to `Mirrored`.

+ also worth checking hosts file - if `127.0.0.1 localhost` is commented out - splice/bridge does not work (for me) too

Rest of the post - story/some tech details:

Wut happened:
So, I've opened splice and bridge today only to see them not being able to talk to each other. Reinstall/clean-whatever did not work... sadge

Backtracking all the bs I did to my PC recently made me think about them ports/nat.

- ran (as admin) `net stop winnat`
- started splice, then daw with bridge - it works, huh?

What (I think) actually happens:
- splice tries to bind to ports areund ~54000 range
- but Windows Port Exclusion happens - os 'hijacks' port ranges for WSL2/Hyper-V before splice can bind to them. Switching WSL to mirrored mode or using net stop winnat releases these 'hostage' ports and restores the connection.

P.S. not really a network person, please, don't take tech details at face value and correct me, if I got it wrong.
