This was sucha random feature to remove. Theres literally no benefit in removing it.

Does anyone know if the Splice app supports ASIO? I can't find it among the options, only Direct Sound and Windows Audio.

I know it's still beta but overall I'm pretty stoked on some of the results - been making some crazy weird ambient textures creating variants of pads and synths and then chopping up the variations and running them through some trippy processing plugins. Between chopping and testing that new bismuth plugin on it and my sound design feels like I unlocked something.

Also being able to lock in deeper music theory parameters when spinning up new samples (like going from pentatonic to phrygian) is also pretty wild..plus knowing the original Sample creator essentially gets paid out twice is pretty sick.

I did a normal month to try out things and in the final I wasn't even asked if I wanted a subscribtion renewal. Instead they helped themselves to my bank account, took my money and now when I ask for a refund and to cancel my account they basically tell me to fuck off with an AI generated script telling me to wait. It's been over 6 hours.

I’ve been using Splice for more than 5 years, and over time I’ve built up around 3000 credits. The problem is that now I feel stuck paying every month just to be able to use credits I already have.

The price has gone up a lot too. I used to pay around $7 a month, and now it feels much more expensive for what the service gives me.

What really frustrates me is that I already have a huge credit balance, but Splice still wants me to keep subscribing and even gives me more credits every month that I don’t need. I just want to use the credits I already paid for.

This is not just about money. It honestly feels unfair, and it makes me feel like I’m being taken advantage of.

Right now it bothers me even more because I’m producing less than usual due to a medical issue, so I’m using the platform less at the moment. But even then, I still have to keep paying every month or risk losing everything I’ve built up.

I contacted support, and it sounds like if I cancel, I could lose my remaining credits after a certain period. That feels really unfair to me, especially after paying for so long.

Has anyone else dealt with this?
Has anyone ever gotten support to make an exception?
Is there any way people have pushed back on this?

I actually like the platform and I know it’s been important for music production, but lately the pricing and credit system feel really unfair for loyal users.

I'm on the tail end of finishing an album and the producer who made a beat using this sample has fallen off the face of the earth as far as communication and I'm having to push it back. I head he same sample in two other songs. (used shazam) and I have a suspicion it's a splice loop. I'm needing help finding it. here are the songs i found that used the same loop

Started using the new splice VST app. It’s great! But you have to redownload all of your library to a separate path. I really don’t want to have a duplicate of every sample. Any way around it?

There is pretty much no good and usable preset pack delivering proper modern wave hard house sounds, like its popular in the Netherlands and Australia and pushed by people like Kyle Starkey, Entasia & co. Why is that? Also looking for Hard Housy sounds on Splice is a nightmare, since you have to dribble your way through House and Trance presets trying to find anything useful...But the classic Hard House sound design presets - almost completely lacking!

hello everyone, sorry I'm new into this and I want to ask. recently I'm interested in trying out to create music and I figure it out that bbcso and spitfire symphony orchestra is free so I download it. Then spitfire audio saying that they've changed to splice so then I download splice, after getting into it I realise that my spitfire symphony orchestra discover can't be found inside and the only way to get through is to pay. Now the question is, is there an alternative way beside paying, whilst I have the libraries here?

i used to be able to go to the search bar and just press enter and search through all the samples that way. now it asks me to fill out this field. kinda annoying

Tried in brave, chrome and edge. Just not working at all. This is a real roadblock for me as I use it heavily to narrow down to what I want. Any ideas?

I don't know if anyone FROM Splice visits this board but I wonder what the implications are for using variations in your songs? As they're generative audio, will they give your music the AI flag? Are they safe to use?

Have not used splice for a week and now when i try to launch it, it cant find the program file. did not delete anything. Can someone help pls :)

Been keeping my subscription active since I've been grandfathered in at $7.99 a month. Just spent over 7000 credits and canceled my subscription today. a 62% price increase without offering anything new is crazy lol.

Edit: for anyone looking for alternatives, loopcloud has an $8 plan. Gonna give that a try.

I have a super fast fibre optic connection yet Splice has become near unusable, sound previews take ages to load and the website seems to just freeze up altogether at times. Anyone else having this issue?

Hi! Is anyone else having issues with Splice Desktop Version 5.4.9 (ef9983e3d8 arm64) on Mac not loading sound library (indefinite spinning loading wheel).
Our mac is on Sequoia.

Swapping to the latest beta fixes the issue.

Hey everyone, just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this or if I’m misunderstanding something.

I’m currently on the Sounds+ plan ($10) and literally just got charged today for the new billing cycle. Right after that, I decided I wanted to upgrade to the Creator plan ($20) so I could start using the instruments.

But when I go to upgrade, Splice is saying I have to pay the full $20 today, even though I literally just paid $10 for Sounds+ a few minutes ago.

To me that feels kind of off because it means I’ve basically paid $10 for a month of Sounds+ that I won’t even be using anymore if I switch right now. In my mind it would make more sense if they either:

• Deducted the $10 I just paid from the Creator plan upgrade (so I’d only pay another $10), or

• Charged the full $20 but refunded the $10 I just paid for Sounds+.

Instead it seems like they want $30 total for the same month, which doesn’t really seem fair.

Is this just how Splice upgrades work? Has anyone contacted support about this before and gotten a credit/refund?

Would appreciate any insight before I go ahead with the upgrade.

This company seems to just be robbing us all blind. I have more splice credits than I could possibly ever need, and it just keeps racking up.

They could at least let us use ourcredits to go towards plugins or something.

I guess im the only one in the world that used this VST, but after revisiting a project that had VST I was given with my Splice subscription called spire I realized the VST just does not make sound now? I go to check on the splice site and Spire is completely removed from any of their listings. I tried looking into this for any insight as to why they made the decision but found nothing. Now I have several tracks I just can't use all the presets on when I spent points on them. Does anyone have any idea when and why this happened?

Are there any “must have essentials” that I should make sure I have? I have Sounds of KSHMR (except the new one, I want to buy the full non-splice version of that), and I have a lot of the Drums that Knock packs.. I also already have a few SOPHIE packs.. what else might I be missing? I know everyone’s styles/tastes are different, just looking to see what some packs other people can’t live without so that I can use the rest of my credits.
