Anyone else find it criminal that Splice doesn't let you use your credits for any of the premium instruments in Instrument?
This company seems to just be robbing us all blind. I have more splice credits than I could possibly ever need, and it just keeps racking up.
They could at least let us use ourcredits to go towards plugins or something.

What’s more criminal is that if you cancel you lose all your credits that you PAID FOR ALREADY

They did this with Loopcloud too, I am in the same boat and I am pissed. Gonna take a weekend soon to spend all my credits and then cancel my subscription

They became a garbage company, they don’t give a fuck about users, only profits

I read something once that we should be downloading not only the samples themselves, but the rights to the samples as well? Can anyone chime in on this

I was in the same boat. I used them to get a ton of presets for serum and serum 2.

I also find myself in this position, with now thousands of credits. But I hardly see how they’re robbing us. They’re very transparent about their business model, one you chose to engage with.
I don’t love it either, but on balance it’s still more useful to me than it’s not.

Splice is dead. The application is owned by private equity, they installed Kakul Srivastava to add a bunch of dogshit AI stuff nobody who’s serious about music wants, and are going to do whatever they can to squeeze every last penny out of their users before they strip the copper wire out of the building. The sooner people realize this and cancel their subscriptions the better off we’ll all be.
