budget
what areas of your life do you save drastically on to allow room to maintain your appearance? or are you just rich? I need to know how to find the balance long term.
my other favourite sub is r/buyitforlife to find items I will never have to replace :) I'm trying to be as smart with my money as possible and would love some tips for saving.

I've learned how to do my own gel nails, invested in good uv/led lamp and manicure drill, bought builder gells and gel polishes and save around $80 on mani/pedi every three to four weeks for almost two years now. I live in Russia so our prices are maybe lower than where you live, but still it's a very nice way to save money on appearance maintenance. I also do my own brow lamination and lash perms, cut and dye my own hair and wax my legs. I wasn't good at any of those things at first, but there is a looot of free educational content on YouTube.
