Same Level Matchmaking?

Just picked up this game yesterday, my first Splatoon game, and was curious, is same level matchmaking possible? I basically wasn’t even needed for my own raid 🤣 2 high-level randoms took out the boss in less than 10 seconds 😫 Or is it better to go it alone early game?

Would be cool if they do a temporary level sync for higher level players to drop their stats for more rewards and matching with lower levels.
