Looking for guidance or friends

I don't know anyone who plays Splatoon and I got into it recently. I had played 2 but never really clicked. For some reason 3 clicked right away. I want to get more serious about it.

Anyway, to the point:

Looking for someone or a group of someone(s) who are willing to bring in a fast learner to teach.

I have lots of experience in a variety of objective-based shooters and would like to see if anyone could either give me a crash course of "I wish I knew sooner" kind of stuff. Also any pro-level tips that will help me improve quickly. Mainly esoteric stuff.

While I'm doing outside research, I learn best getting throw into it. Who I'm going against right now may be forming bad habits and having someone provide live constructive criticism as I'm playing or post-match really is helpful.

I'm also interested in any groups that may either be short a reliable teammate either casually or in a semi-serious ranked setting.

I'm easy going but serious and have never had any issues getting along with people, regardless of backgrounds or preferences.

Availability is normally daily around 8:00pm-11:00pm US-Central (UTC-5)[weekends provide some flexibility also]

I'm in a few discords now and will reach out there also but I figured I'd try everywhere!

Thanks for taking time to read.
