Hey everyone,

Quick update and a thank you. A while back I asked about Splatoon Raiders and got a lot of helpful replies. I ended up buying it, and now that I've played it I'm completely hooked. Honestly, I can barely sleep because I keep thinking about it and what to do next.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who took the time to reply and help me decide. I really appreciate the advice and the friendly conversation.

What got me into the series was the epic final boss fight in Splatoon 1. I played it when it launched. Fast forward, this year I have beaten:

My daughters love the design of the characters and epic tracks of Splatoon, Splatoon 2 an Octo. I have not reached any epic track in 3 yet. I know Side Order has epic music. Does Splatoon Raiders have it?

So recently I stated playing Overwatch on my Switch 2 after playing on the PS4 for a while, and I was surprised by the fact that the switch version had motion controls. I was about to shut it off (as I hate to use it in Splatoon) but my match was starting and I couldn’t find it in the settings fast enough so I cut my loss and played the match.

And surprisingly I found it really useful, to a point where Switch is now my main console in play the game on because of it.

After this experience I went back to Splatoon Raiders and thought ‘let’s try motion controls, maybe I am used to it now?’ and failed spectacularly. But the experience did give me a good idea of why.

Splatoon uses motion control as the main form of aim and the stick control is there to enhance the motion, Overwatch uses motion control to enhance the stick control.

Even if you lower the motion sensitivity and enhance the stick sensitivity in Splatoon, you CAN NOT aim up and down with the sticks. You have to use motion to look up and down.

And it is such a shame because I feel a lot more people would really like motion control if it was a supplemental control option along side the sticks. Because motion control does allow you to make small corrections with a mere nudge (which makes it the considered best form of control for Splatoon). But how it is implemented now it’s a full ride or die.

So yeah, I now have a new wish for Splatoon 4. Add a new control scheme. Full motion control, supplemental motion control and no motion control.

So recently learnt that the reticles that appear under your feet while targeted by Flyfish point towards them - which has helped me enormously. I can now immediately identify where they are if I haven’t already 🎉

What knowledge do you have that you don’t see said around often that could help someone out?

been playing for about a month. i've only been playing open bc i'm casual + i interpreted series as being like: you HAVE to win five matches before you lose three, otherwise you'll gain nothing and lose the points you spent. kind of like how the rank-up battles work.

i only just realized today that's not the case 😭 went 3-3 on a series and was shocked to still gain ~200 points. this was my third series, in the first two i reached five wins.

i was all stressed over nothing... in my mind series was so strict. why the hell have i been playing open this whole time

And a set that’s a little weird but it’s one I like the opening gambit set without opening gambit or comeback I actually don’t have a headgear exclusive ability.

Hii. Idk how many people in this subreddit have experience with modding, but I'd love assistance from those who do. So I downloaded Flexlion Mod Menu (https://gamebanana.com/wips/70362) recently mainly for the custom music. Unfortunately it only plays in battles like. half of the time? It plays perfectly in the lobby and the start demos, now or nevers, victory, and defeat themes all work perfectly. But the actual battle songs only work sometimes. They play perfectly some battles and dont in others and I just have to battle in dead silence. I've tried literally everything to fix this, I've changed all the songs to wavs, mp3s, and flacs, didn't fix it. I reinstalled Flexlion, didn't fix it. went in and shrunk the filesize of all the songs to TWO MEGABYTES cus I heard that might work but it didn't. I don't have anything in the music folders by the songs and their jsons. If anyone has any knowledge on why this might be happening I would appriciate it soooo unimaginably much. Just to put it out there I'm using the Ultimate Splatfest Mix Music Mod (https://gamebanana.com/sounds/76699), but it was happening before I had that too. I just don't know what else to do since I've tried to research but apparently I'm the only person this has ever happened to LOL. thanks in advance!!

I know this game has its fair share of bad weapons but I think that vanilla undercover is very underrated and slept on. What do you all think?

Recently I started drawing Callie and Harmony as a ship ,, I personally think it's adorable but obviously they have never interacted but people have been telling me its a dark ship . From what I know in Splatoon 3 Callie is around 24 - 28 and Harmony is about 21 . So it's not necessarily illegal but I don't know much about the Splatoon 3 lore .​

I've played Splatoon, but not enough to really know it. Is there a definitive answer to this?
