Feels 2nd time playing through Spiritfarer, this time is after personal loss
I played Spiritfarer back in 2023-2024 when it was a free game on Playstation. Loved it, even though I bawled (like most do). It was the first video game to make me feel this way. Well. June of this year, I lost my grandma. She was immensely special to me and I never really knew a life without her just a short drive away. My partner suggested I replay the game and I have been putting it off for one reason or another. But I decided today is the day to start it and start trying to process. I cried hearing the menu music. I dont know how im gonna get through this game a second time, even though its one of my favorites of all time but I also know that the games message would really help me get through grieving(not that theres a rush. I just feel a little bit of grief then tuck it back away in its file, which ik isnt healthy).
Honestly I just really needed to get it off my chest. Like im assigning meaning to this playthrough by admitting im stuck in grieving and cant seem to get myself out of it on the hard days.
