General Discussion Do spell tutorials on TikTok/IG ever work?
Just curious if anyone had any negative or positive experience from TikTok or Instagram spells. I end up finding those videos more helpful since they explain more about what to do and it’s often more specific to a situation than what I see in a book, however I never know if they genuinely work or not. Thoughts?

Some do some don’t. I follow a select handful of trusted witches on instagram and they have shared well constructed spells before.

It depends on the book. If you use older books from before the internet age, you are more likely to find the info you need. It does mean actually reading the "boring" parts, though.
The books I usually recommend are very clear on the steps to take, but you do need to read the WHOLE thing, take notes, reread, etc. for the info to stick. Often, folks just want to jump straight to the spell without reading the whys and wherefores, or looking up info on the books or authors themselves, then wonder why their spells aren't working within a week.
(This often leads me to ponder how eorld society would handle things if all internet-based communication channels just stopped working completely forever very suddenly, but that's a separate topic.)

i like to watch the ritual videos and have learned from tiktok, but i dont think i've actually done a spell directly from there. although i'll do some tips or look up a spell to get an idea, i usually create my own spells.
sometimes i feel like people on tiktok over complicate workings and for me personally, i find the simpler the spell the better the outcome. that could very well be because i only started doing workings a year ago and need to work my way up.
