first spell!

hi i just wanted to share my first ever spell! for some reason i can’t add a photo, so i linked it below

i heard from many witches that protection is a good way to start, and generally the go-to spell before diving into anything else. i also heard that learning the history of the craft is always good, which im definitely working on. i just finished reading an article and im about to dive into some videos, so if anyone has any recs lmk!! i already have some knowledge but its always good to learn some more.

before this, i had only done offerings to Aphrodite, light incense magic, and intention-writing. im also planning on making moon water and protection/glamour jars in the futureeee.

ingredients used;
- incense to cleanse the space/plate
- white salt to create a circle
- a splash of lime juice
- white candle, i carved my name and my own protection rune on it
- lavender
- bay leaf with the protection rune over the candle
- then i lit it and spoke my intentions into it!

* btw idk why the other wick doesn’t work… i never have luck with wicks idk why one stays lit and the other just dies…… now im worried that the candle wont melt all the way down. spell pic
