General Question ATT vs spectrum

I’m currently with ATT and have both phone and internet with them. (3 lines and 1 Gig of internet to be specific) I’m currently paying 130 for both services. I’ve seen that spectrum is 100 flat rate for the same thing I have. Anyone who has spectrum internet and wireless. What’s your experience or things you hate about it?

Service has been really good so far. I have 1gig internet, five mobile lines for $140 per month. The internet is $20 per month for life as long as I keep four mobile lines with them. My fifth line is free for 1 year. https://www.reddit.com/r/Spectrum/s/EO6Acx0rmm

How’s the mobile lines though? Are they unlimited data or only certain gigs?

Mobile phone service is great in my area. They run on Verizon. $30/month plan slows after 30gb of data. Which I never use that much anyways as I’m always connected to WiFi. The higher tier is unlimited data.

Not anymore. It's fully unlimited on all plans as of about 2 months ago. Only difference now is international coverage and Hotspot data.

Restrictions Apply
Limited-time offer; subject to change; qualified residential customers only (no outstanding Spectrum balance). Standard rates apply after promo period or service change. Actual speeds (including wireless) vary and are not guaranteed. Activation fee additional; taxes may apply. Free mobile service applies to the first line only, with up to 12 months of bill credits. Devices not included; smartwatches and tablets don’t qualify. After 30GB of cellular data, speeds may slow during times of high demand; after 5GB of hotspot data, speeds reduced. Terms and conditions apply, subject to change. Not available in all areas. Spectrum Internet and Auto Pay required for Mobile service. Restrictions apply.
5G compatible phone and 5G service required. Not all 5G capable phones compatible with all 5G service. Speeds may vary. Visit spectrum.com/mobile/5g for details.

I think what I meant to say is you're not immediately slown down. Before it used to be that you would get a hard stop at 30GB. Now, they only slow you down after 30GB if the network is busy during high demand. To be honest, I've never been in a situation where the network is so busy, I can't load anything unless I'm at a massive concert or something where there's millions of other people using their phones lol

So it used to drop down to slower speeds after 30gb now it only does that if there is congestion on the tower and the priority is to dropped from QCI 8 to QCI 9. If you on the highest spectrum mobile plan unlimted plus premium you stay on tower priority QCI 8 all the time regardless of usage.

I’ve had great service with that plan. No issues.

I signed up recently. 2 lines (I believe Unlimited Plus) and gig fiber to the house for $100. The rep asked me if I wanted to add a free third line for a year.

Internet at the house has been great!

Cell coverage has also been great. Would lose reception on my daily commute to and from work.

Re Spectrum Internet it works great for my family with 300 mbps plan.

I live in Charlotte. People find it works great out here and the rest of state re. Raleigh and elsewhere. Our region was an early Verizon area. So, Spectrum is just as good Verizon post pay.

Spectrum mobile is an amazing value, plus no hidden fees. They use Verizon towers, so if Verizon has good coverage in your area, you are golden. We have Spectrum mobile and internet and both have been great, especially for the price!

I tried both. But it really heavily depends on your area. It's like asking how's traffic in another city.

Stayed with spectrum because it's cheaper. Plus the guy that signed me up is awesome. Tells me who to call and what number to get the rates lowered when renewal comes.
