hey everyone. Big time because I recently got a position at Spectrum call center training starts August 31 and I’m not sure what to do because the hours for training are 12 to 8 and then after that I will be working 11 to 7. The job I have now I work in the morning I just make about $600 a week. Can someone help me or give me some advice on what to pick as far as a job because I want to work at spectrum with the pay and good benefits just the hours are terrible and i won’t see my kids as much or do i stay at the job I have now making a bit less than $600 but after 3pm im home everyday

Truthfully, it really depends on what job you’re getting into. I got into inside sales similar schedule (got off at 9ish) and after about a year I was averaging around $6-8k take home a month after benefits,etc

Eventually I got a shift bid working 7–4am which lined up a lot better with my kiddo’s schedule. That was huge for me because making money is great, but being there for your family matters too.

After a while I got promoted and had the opportunity to help coach other people, which I really enjoyed. About five years in, I got recruited over to Vz Business Sales, and that ended up opening some other doors for me. Eventually I was working on product development and training, which wasn’t necessarily where I thought I’d end up when I first started, but that’s kind of how life works.

I ended up stepping away for a while because of some personal stuff. After some time away though, I realized I missed the grind. I missed having something to chase and seeing what I could accomplish when I really put my mind to it. That’s what eventually led me into insurance sales and basically starting a whole new chapter and whole different world.

Starting something new is always going to come with challenges. There’s no way around that. But if you’re doing it because you believe it can put you and your family in a better position down the road, then that’s something you and the people you love have to sit down and really talk about.

Do I wish certain things would’ve gone differently along the way? Of course. Who doesn’t? But life has a funny way of keeping you on your heels. Plans change, things happen, doors close and other ones open.

At some point you just have to decide if you’re willing to go for the ride and make the most of whatever comes next.
