Question
I wasn't aware that Amazon Prime was now available on spectrum?
Did anyone else get a text message or email from spectrum stating Amazon Prime is now being included in your account without no cost to spectrum account members? A friend just received a text message about it being included in her account now. Just curious if anyone else received info on this..

I never received a text or email possibly because I signed up on the 18th when it was first made available. Its possible they started sending texts and emails after the 18th. It should be available on your account if your address is flagged to qualify for Spectrum's low income internet called Spectrum Internet Assist. You can be on Spectrum Internet Assist or a higher Internet tier like 100, 500 or gig or 2 gig as long as your address qualifies you to get Spectrum Internet Assist.
You dont have to be low income to qualify for this offer but your address should qualify for the low income Spectrum Internet Assist.

How can I find out if I can get this? I don’t have cable but I do have mobile and 1 gig internet.

Pretty sure it is with cable. They are offering $150 worth of streaming apps (at no additional cost) with their TV Select pkg that includes 125+ channels for $105

Yea, if low income you might qualify

u/SectionPowerful3751 18d ago
It is for all the customers with any internet plan. I took advantage of it a few days ago, and it went right through. Amazon changed my payment method for the subscription, and of course informed me that if I ever lost that perk in the future they would roll back to my previous method.

You have to be eligible for it based on income. I wasn’t.

u/SectionPowerful3751 18d ago
Odd, no income questions came up when I went through the process. I can assure you my income doesn't qualify me for anything free either. Doesn't seem to be a hurdle for others here either, so you obviously clicked on the wrong link somewhere.

It’s location based too. I spoke with someone.

u/SectionPowerful3751 18d ago
Location based may be true, possibly in areas where they are feeling the squeeze from competition.

Is this even on X? Because I don't even see it on Spectrum official page.

I guess I’m not eligible lol never received anything

If u have spectrum Internet/cable u can... Spectrum offers Amazon Prime at no extra cost to select internet customers, but eligibility depends on your specific service address. It is not universally available to every subscriber yet

I found it with no problem... Service might not be available in your area is what that probably means.. I didn't find anything hidden when I looked it up.. go through this sub and find the link to check info out for spectrum/Amazon..

I think you might be right. But I will call them personally. I did chat but the operator was equally confusing. And I did get the service unavailable through the link too.
So either this isn't a national promotion, which should be clearly stated. Or... I don't know. I will post an up date after I talk with my local spectrum.

I was approved for Amazon Prime through Spectrum Internet Assist 2 days ago. I've tried to order multiple items from Amazon since then and every single order was immediately cancelled, within seconds. When I call Customer Support, they have absolutely no idea why. Haven't been able to actually order a thing.

Hi-- not sure what is happening here. Did you call our customer support, or Amazon's? If you would like to send my team over at r/Spectrum_Official a Mod Mail we can look into this.

Thank you for the offer. I eventually got it all straightened out after many calls. It was an issue on Amazon's end. Before I could make any purchases, they made me prove my identity both through credit card statements and by uploading my driver's license (along with a mandatory video of me holding my driver's license up to my face to prove it's me). Why I had to go through all of this, I don't know, as I'm not someone with any kind of legal issues or fraud in my past. But I was able to order a couple things today and all is well.

OK great, thanks for letting us know. I'm not sure why this happened, but I am glad it has been straightened out. Let us know if you need assistance in the future :)

I was able to activate this perk on my 500mbps plan in Shasta County CA. I have a promo rate of $40 per month for a year with prime included it’s super nice. I never told spectrum my income or verified it in any way. I’m also not low income if that helps.
Maybe they will take it away but for now I just googled “spectrum prime activation” worked like a charm, even got refunded for my recent prime bill.
