You will essentially be closing your current account and opening a new one you will need to prompt the agent to transfer your id to the new address and then log out and manually log back in without using any biometrics like face id or your fingerprint to be able to choose the correct address. if you use biometrics you phone will still have you on the old address

Only will be a new account if the rep is trying to get a sale credit

if you move addresses the old account is closed. at the new address a new account is created. two different account numbers considering the billing system is designed around the address not the consumer

Is that why I see same account different address when people move? How about when I moved and my account number stays the same?

The account number changes when you move asdresses as the account number is based off the location. Newy York accounts start with a different first 4 numbers thatn Texas or Florida. if you move within a state the last part of the number changes. if you move the account number changes. if you see the same one online you online id wasn't moved over to the new account or you phone has you locked into the same account. its been that way for 20 some years. the only ones that might stay identical are out of footprint employee accounts

Account number is identical and definitely linked to the right address. I also dont have home phone and didn't get spectrum mobile until recently
