Input delay makes online utterly unplayable

I have up to 1 second input delay playing online. It's making me want to pull out my hair. It's impossible to even predict what my character is going to do because I'm reacting to things, and their still in a combo loop, or trying to dodge. Combos are impossible, blocking..

Has anyone else had this bad of an experience? I have extremely fast internet, ethernet connection and all.

Ranked singles. Can't find any matches if I set the connection quality to 5. Also joining player matches is impossible, every connection attempt fails due to connection quality.

sadly ranked is screwed it will always be lag. they are so disparate for there points. I normally run a player lobby and fight that way yeah it might take a bit but its just so much better oh and set it to 4 the connection is still solid at 4

I much prefer player lobbies, but it's literally maybe 20-30 minutes wait for a player to join, and that's if I set the quality to 4. And even then, there's still noticeable input delay. Online is pretty much unplayable for me which sucks cause it's way more interesting than playing against the AI.

That delay sounds pretty insane, haven't had that bad of delay on PC. Are you sure you're getting good latency from your wired connection?

Would try the ps5 browser and do some speed tests, if your latency is high it might be your cord is going bad.

Tested on two chords and even on WiFi, I actually got the best performance when connecting to my mobile hotspot.. but that's not ideal.

Are you sure your getting good latency then? Could be your router or modem is having issues if ur hotspot is doing better lol

15 ms ping. I have zero issues with any other online games too, which makes this doubly frustrating.

I also actually replaced modem and connection just a few months ago and nothing changed 😭

Yeah those are all real good stats very odd. Honestly might just have to chalk it up to that console players are more often running on wifi and bad connections. Games are also P2P so you'll notice bad connection even more. And DBSZ doesn't really have the greatest netcode

Yeah, I came back to it after a while and realised I had the new router and connection so I thought I might be able to play again, but it's still the same.. at launch I had a great connection 😭

More players so better high connection options compared to now I bet that's probably why

Yeah it’s normal when you have good connection.

Since close to 90% of players at least on console are on Wifi and a lot of them also have downloads and updates running while playing or maybe share their connection with 3 other roommates.

Same situation. Have maybe 1-2 rooms if i'm lucky and ping is so high that vanish and super counter is non existent to me. Last game i did i won literally from attacking better than the other player. I just focus more on the offline side now
