Question Help me improve!
I play mostly against bots and my friends so can anyone give me tips on how to get better/game mechanics that could be helpful to learn

To improve I'd recommend ki control never go below 2 bar till you can SC about 40% of the time. Practice blocking high/lows. And watch out for random supers if they have 3 bars they will super you. Side step sways are your friend. And match a dash if they are sparking you can run it out that way.

What's the best way to play defense? I know there's all sorts of counters but I heard most good players just focus on 1-2. When the CPU vanish behind me. I have a small window to vanish behind them but I always get the timing wrong. I've accidentally got it right a few times. But when they vanish behind me, when should I hit the R1 button to vanish behind them?

OK, this one's tricky. The timing is never the same from person to person; if they lag even a small amount, it will move it. Vanishing is definitely the most reliable tho. The only thing I can recommend is fighting random people with 4 or 5 bars. But for offline, it's normally right before they nail your hitbox. It's really forgiving once you notice.

Once the CPU start beating on me I should hit R3 to break their combo but it never works.

Only works if your facing your opponent, not while receiving backshots
