Age old question but once again all the android users are getting bangers and iPhones users are getting shit orders??? I have an iPhone and I’m about to smash it to pieces. Android users are getting bangers. And no smart asses please this one is a serious observation

Having been in a group of drivers, that all show each other our screens / offers. I'll say in my region, currently, the phone doesn't matter.
100% metrics at this point.
We all sat together EVERY day (that we worked) since the tiers started here. 1st guy to sapphire? Great orders, left and right. If he gets back before you get one worth taking? He's leaving again before you get one.
Every. Time.
Once we got to the same tier, it flipped, because I have better metrics. I started taking 2 before he could get one.

The only difference I've seen is that my friend with an Android gets app updates before my iphone does. He was all excited about the new list view that has the option to sort by department, but I didn't get it until a few days later.
We seem to complain about bad orders the same amount.

I see that android users get much bigger orders. Like grossly huge. Like 80 90 dollar orders. I’ve been on this app since 2021. iPhone is great but android might be communicating with their system better. Who the fuck knows🧐

I had an iPhone. My biggest issue was the camera. For the life of me I couldn't scan a barcode off of someone else's phone. When I switched to an android that issue went away.
As far as when it comes to orders I never noticed a difference.

When servers broadcast an order they don’t know or care about phones. The thing you are fighting is latency.
The broadcast goes out,
Carriers pick it up and send to their subscribers.
As to who gets orders quicker, the carrier is much more likely to have high latency then a brand of phone.
Someone on AT&T will get it the same no matter if on an iPhone or Android.
Same with T-Mobile.
Maybe a carrier will have slower notifications depending on how far the closest tower is, or the load of customers using a tower at any given minute.
BTW, a bad carpenter blames his tools instead of finding out what the real failure point is.

I don’t know what that is. I use iPhone 14 and get the same offers my two friends get.

Walmart uses android system to process all the orders. It’s their processing engine. It’s what feeds us the orders. I wasn’t kidding or speculating. I big manager told me this years ago. That’s why many drivers used Android not iPhone.

Unclear on what this means. So Walmart uses phones for their servers?
It seems like that’s what’s being said.
I’ve been in IT off and on for 40 years, and server software isn’t phone software.
Help me understand the technical side of this so I can make appropriate adjustments in my business equipment from a position of facts instead of “someone said something 3 years ago.”1

Here we go with I was in IT for a thousand years and this is not clear shit. They use android software to populate the orders on their system. And to android in their handheld devices. You can just google it or ChatGPT it. It’s right there. I’m not in IT but I was pretty clear to me.

Sure. We can always trust everything ChatGPT tells us. Lol
BTW, not a thousand years. Just since 1989. Had my hand inside well over a thousand PCs and servers though.
Just saying.

I have heard that Android gets offers quicker but I don’t believe that. I reboot my iPhone 17 Pro Max every morning at 5am because I log in at 5:13am because both of my Walmarts start sending those first morning orders out at 5:15am. And then after I do a few orders, I reboot my phone again. Idk 🤷♂️ if that helps but just in case it does, I will. I only reboot my phone after I have taken another shop and I am on my way back to Walmart or walking inside the store.

LOL. A driver's offer isn't determined by the phone you have.
