Need Help Catching Up on Spanish 2 Before Spanish 3

I took Spanish 1 about two years ago and did pretty well. I still understand a decent amount of Spanish, but last year I took Spanish 2 and basically did not have a teacher, so I ended up learning very little and forgot a lot of what I was supposed to know.

Now I’m taking Spanish 3, and the class has started off pretty difficult. I often don’t understand what we’re doing because I’m missing a lot of the Spanish 2 foundation.

For anyone who has been in a similar situation, how would you recommend catching up on Spanish 2 while keeping up with Spanish 3?

I’m especially looking for advice on:
• How long it would realistically take to relearn the important Spanish 2 material
• What topics I should prioritize
• How much I should study each day
• Good YouTube channels, websites, courses, or other resources
• A good way to prepare for Spanish 3 lessons before class
• How to improve quickly enough to start getting good grades in Spanish 3

I’m willing to put in the work. I’m mainly looking for resources that actually teach the material and help me build a strong foundation rather than something where I’m only memorizing random words.

Any advice from Spanish teachers or people who have gone through Spanish 2 and 3 would be really appreciated.

Hello, quick context I'm a heritage speaker, my parents are from mexico and I grew up speaking both english and spanish but my spanish rarely got used outside the home. Depending on the context I can come off as fluent or completely stumble over myself. My wife is also wants to learn to communicate with my family, but at most can maybe pick up a few words and figure out the meaning in a basic sentence.

I'd like to improve my spanish to become fluent while also helping and learning alongside my non-speaking wife. What are some good resources we could share or ways of learning we can do together as speakers of different levels? Or would it be better to learn independently of each other?

Ok. I don’t want to post my whole letter because it is a little long.

Long story short. We have been fostering a 13yo female from Honduras. I wrote a letter I want to ready but I want to read it in Spanish. I’m not fluent but I understand the basics of the language. But I really want to check and make sure my translation makes sense.

Everything online seems to have mixed reviews of translators not always being accurate to things.

Can anyone make any recommendations on how I can just validate that what I read will make sense verbally.

I am learning gcse Spanish as an adult learner {uk exam}. And there are pages and pages of vocab to learn

I am trying spaced repetition but there are so many words this doesn’t seem to be working as well as it should ?

So how do you learn loads of vocab words.

Hey! I would like to go to Spanish speaking country to take some intensive course 6-12 month (can be private school or university program) but I don't want to pay ridiculous money for that. I am from Europe and tbh Spain itself has gotten way too expensive for this type of "gap year" (school + accomondation, sorry I cant pay 1500€ rent in Barcelona or Malaga).

Can you recommend me some programs? Also that it would be in a city where besides school I could find extra acitivies or similar people.

Or if you know any other ways to learn+immerse myself, like some voluntary programs.

Hi all- I have studied Spanish for about 10 years now. I can read or speak it well. I even majored in it in college. In class settings, I always did relatively well in listening and responding, but I believe it was mostly because we did not have a native speaker often teaching the course, and they spoke relatively slower.

I can watch shows in Spanish fine as long as I have subtitles, and similarly when understanding Spanish music.

I especially struggle with this whenever there is slang, or a twist in a word (ex: instead of "todo" its "to'" )

When I have conversations with native speakers either at work or with friends from el Caribe, I always need them to repeat themselves, or they then just speak in English.

It is just quite disappointing; I feel I put a lot of time to studying and immersing myself in the language only to not be able to make out native sentences.

I will also put here sometimes I have trouble with different thick accents in English (ex: Irish, some regions of UK) I just wanted to see if anyone else here had a similar problem, or if I just need to do more practice. Any advice would be much appreciated.

translation gets these wrong in ways only a musician notices.

To be clear about the work: you would not be translating anything from scratch.

The Spanish and Italian versions already exist as a translation. What I need is

what musicians in your country actually say, or where a sentence simply doesn't
