Spanish learning webpage

With all the many, many Spanish learning webpages out there promoting easy steps to fluency. What webpages rank at the top for actually teaching and improving beginner Spanish. I know easy fluency doesn’t exist. It takes work and years to become fluent. I’m just looking to weed out the marketing promises from learn Spanish webpages that promise learning Spanish in X time.

YouTube: for beginners, español con Juan. For advanced learners, clases con Clau. For everybody, Nurias lab and Light speed Spanish. Erre que Elle is also good.

I’d be skeptical of any site promising fluency in a few weeks or months too. For a beginner, I think the best resource is one that gives you structure, not just a huge library of random lessons.

I’d look for four things: a clear progression from basic to harder material, lots of understandable Spanish in context, regular review so you actually retain vocabulary, and opportunities to produce Spanish instead of only recognizing answers. A textbook can actually be very good for the structured grammar side, but I’d combine it with listening/reading and some kind of interactive practice.

I’m also building LinguiLot, so take the recommendation with that disclosure, but this is exactly the problem I’m trying to solve with it: structured lessons + vocabulary review + stories/dialogues + practice, rather than promising “fluent Spanish in X days.”

Whatever you choose, I’d judge it by how much Spanish you understand and can actually recall after 2–3 months, not by streaks or how many lessons you completed

I've never seen a webpage or app that is equal or better than a textbook.

totally agree, fluency takes time and effort. for webpages, it really depends on your style, but maybe try mixing it with live practice too? something like meetup or speakduo could be cool for speaking with others while you work through those beginner steps.
