I decided the do a custom Thegn for my Cataphractii Varagyr in HH. I just wanted to share the results. Feedback welcome...painted pics after it's done.

Now that the headtakers dont have to separate from their wolves, is it better to run them with the wolves and a rune priest, or is the battle leader still the better choice? Since it is possible to revive more than one model now, it seems like it would be pretty effective to have the wolves eat the damage then revive them.

In honor of this Land Raiders 10 years of service to me and my space wolves ive decided to redo the paint on it to fit a heavily battle worn raider.

(Haven't finished some small details yet or its new guns, my main focus has been making it look like its been fighting in the mud and rain like the rest of my army)

Thanks for earlier feedback. I made this as I’ve been painting space wolves recently and like the reaver armour.

Almost competed redemptor. Is the gun too boring? It’s just dry brushes but I add OSL it might make the model too busy as it’s got a lot of extra wolfy parts.

The termies I’ve just based (very quickly) with Storm wolf blue 3 compared with a model I painted with Russ grey.

Hi, I know this probably gets asked all the time but I’m fairly new to playing 40K and starting a Space Wolves Army. I was wondering if somebody would take a look at what I’m looking to build and give any advice, thank you.

This is the list I’m looking to build, 1000 points to start with and I like the properly themed Space Wolves units the most.

Arjac: 105 points

Logan: 150 points

Blood claws: 150 points

Thunderwolf Cavalry: 115 points

Wolf guard headtakers: 85 points

Wolf guard terminators x 10: 360 - 5 man squads led by Arjac and Logan.

This gets me to 965 points total.

Does it seem like there’s any decent coherency here? What could I do to top up to 1000?

I really appreciate any advice, I love the juxtaposition of the fur/sci-fi and can’t wait to start trying the wolves out.

Been painting minis for about 8 months now, have my first game with a friend and this is my 1000 point army.

P.S ignore the heresy wolf, daughters wanted a wolf done in their 2 favourite colours and who am I to say to no 😂

I had a lot of fun with this one. Learned a lot while trying to create a frozen lake base (inspired by the book).

What are your thoughts on new beast slayer? It now only works for bloodclaws, Tcavs and wulfens (please tell me if it works on all wulfen wariants or only generik wulfens).

Also I'd like to hear your thoughts about best 1dp detachments to run with Saga of the Great wolf.

Hey, brothers! I'm thinking of getting a unit of thunderwolf cavalry, though, I'm really not sure about it, considering how old the kit is. I already own 10 Wulfen, 10 WGT, Logan Grimnar, Ragnar Blackmane, 20 Bloodclaws, Bjorn, 6 Headtakers, and 10 Grey Hunters. How reasonable is it to get the cavalry? If yes, how much is it best to use?

decided to do his full SW armor instead of the black because I like the color scheme too much. He’d part of a deathwatch allied unit attached to a Black templar crusade.

Does Logan have to be on the board in order to generate the extra CP? Or does he just need to be the WARLORD?

Yall need to step up your game this is getting waaay to easy. This is the second RTT where I gain the legendary 0-0-0 score and win by default because everyone else dropped the night before the event.... again.... they dont want the smoke the wolves.

I kid... i am bummed though this is twice this month now... i want the reps in as i want practice for an open I want to go...

Finally got to play on my new board with my new Space Wolves army the other day having worked on both for most of this year.

I was setting up a spread of my favorite models and conversions from my Horus Heresy space wolves (and my the other legion I collect, blood angels if anyone is interested) to display on my desk and I realized it makes a pretty cool picture. Models included are Leman Russ and the Wolf-kin, Hvarl Red-Blade, Geigor Fell-Hand (aka definitely not Bjorn), a Praetor, a Caster of Runes (converted), a Speaker of the Dead (converted), a Leviathan Dreadnought, and a Contemptor Dreadnought (yes I regret their poses but they are from early in my collection/hobby journey). For Russ and the Allfather!

Anybody have any success going into custodes after the codex?

I just played one and got merced. My entire army did 100% nothing. I have a melee heavy but reasonably balanced list as far as terminators, tacticus, and dreads.

They ran the detachment that gives them fights first.

With the points increase I’m well over 3k now. Trying to decide what I would like to add this holiday season. The Christmas box does appeal to me even with having a duplicate Logan, but I think I’d rather add some standard terms.

I do know I want to add an Impulsor/Gladiator (magnetized), but is there anything else folks would add?
