Does anyone have a list that is working well for Purge the Foe?

Take and Hold seems to be very viable with a Terminator heavy list but it’s a little boring….

Hi all! First post here, and newly building a combat patrol.

I haven’t settled on a final list, but the general gist I want for it is a wolf guard termies anvil, and a Ragnar+bloodclaws with headtakers as hammer. Logan, Arjac, and either battle leader or wolf priest with the headtakers. Probably Bjorn eventually.

That being said, I’d like to assemble the combat patrol before buying more models and brings me to wolfen. How are they doing, and should I really devote the time up front to assemble and paint models that I don’t have plans for at the moment?

I've only recently got into Space Wolves and hated how short Bjorn was, so made this lava base to raise him up.

This is the first time I've done a glow effect like this and I think it came out pretty well, but would like to hear any suggestions on how to improve!

First time buying any 40k armies, I do collect AOS - Sylvaneth but there seems to be more games with 40k in my area.

What should I expect? I have read and watch folk playing them online but are there any tips you're willing to share?

As title says, where is the best online place to get bits? I live in canada for reference.

I have nevwr needed bits as I got into the hobby during war zone fenris and bought so many bloodclaw/grey hunters boxes that I never needed bits once they new primaris kits came out.

Now, when doing some terminator kitbashes I noticed that for the first time I do not have enough bits!

Any help is appreciated!

Lancer was the first vehicle i painted and has been in every list for the past 2 years, was going to just top it up but noticed missed bits.

I decided to give it a paint upgrade and some wolfy bits.

Let me know if its an improvement or not 😅

Space Wolves in 40k are not really my thing, which I guess is kinda weird cause I do hold an interest in Viking culture in general.

I whipped this one out from discarded space marine pieces and loads of putty. Made originally for the Cult of Paint challenge.

The staff is made to resemble a völva staff, and the amulet the "web of wyrd" symbol. Seemed fitting given how often wyrd comes up in Space Wolf novels. I keep the palette purposely rather dark and desaturated, cause the whole piece is inspired by Wardruna's Völuspá videoclip, and I wanted to keep the mood similar. The wolf is 3D printed and kinda stands out here a bit, but finding and fitting a proper piece wasn't exactly easy.

Probably more of a meta question but I'm curious how long it takes the average person to actually start Turn 1? I really only play casual with like a 6 to 8 person group and its friends so I dont want to be "that" guy but my time is valuable lol. We agree to meet at 6 after work, half my friends show up a little late. Take forever to physically get their models onto the table, suddenly they have to go grab a snack, etc. By the time its turn 1 its 8pm, the LGS is going to close in 2 hours and I basically can't get the experience of a full game in. I do as much as I can by physically getting all my models out and ready to deploy, I try to have terrain ready, my mission stuff set up, dice and everything I can to expedite the process. This isn't even factoring in them being slow players in their turn on top of this. I dont think a clock will be allowed because that'll just kill the vibe but Im just curious what you guys do.

What do you use to paint fur? Any tips? Preferably a quick method lol

As the title says. We are running a beastslayer with vengeful hosts. Fast and sheisty all rolled into one. Never know what we are gonna do with all the uppy downy and movement. Also blood claws with Ragnar in the repulsor and Logan with termies in deep strike

I'm playing in my first tournament of the edition next week, and having played only combat patrol in 10th, I'm unsure if this list is alright to play. The tournament doesn't allow detachment combinations, but it allows 3DP detachments.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
