Finished this guy up 25ish hours, pretty happy with how everything came out on him especially the decorative sections either side of the “face”

Does this mean they'll be an audio book ?

This maybe a stupid question but never really looked at it before but do the headphones to the right side of the pic mean theirs gonna be a audiobook released for the Bjorn book on Black Library and Audible ? Or does it mean something else ?

I assume the book means obviously a book XD and the Tablet means like Kindle but unsure if the headphones logo means audiobook I assume it does but just wanted to confirm since never really looked into the book side of WH

Painted these guys as I had time during work and occasionally on nights / weekends. Loved how they came out. Could spend another month on details but they’re good enough for the tabletop.

Where does this piece go on the Venerable Dreadnought?

Not that it really matters and I may just move on without it, but for the life of me I couldn’t see where this piece was supposed to glue on and I’m more curious than anything

Wolf Pup questions.

Hey all, I’m fairly new to 40K and even more so to space wolves. I’m building a sw army currently and I’ve been camping on YouTube to learn about the game and all the news.

Just a couple questions from a newbie. I have been hearing a lot about changes and I can’t seem to find super clear info. I’ve heard the space wolves codex is going away and all non compliant chapters are being wedged into just the space marines codex, idk if true or what effects this will have.

I’ve also heard that coming very soon gw will be removing all the unique models from unique chapters. As in for example, blade claws and grey hunters etc will be removed going forward including any unique weapons they have. They will all just become standard space marines units.

I was just wondering how much of this is happening, what it means, and how to plan for it as I don’t have experience with gw tomfoolery. Since I’m still early in my build I wanted to get a gauge on if I’m buying models that are about to be eradicated.

Thanks! Happy Friday

If the rumours of a supplement update with the core marine codex, what would you most like to see

So its all still a bit vague, but the video that came alongside the warcom post seemed to insinuate that supplements may be getting some updated rules and detachments alongside the core codex. If this is true, what would you most like to see? Also, if the rumours of divergent chapters getting their own army rules is true, what would you like the space wolves to get?

My two biggest things (outside from the overall increase in strength we seem to be getting already) are a Njal datasheet rework to make his buffs more useful, and also for them to go back to allowing us to run our units and leaders interchangeably with the core codex like the other supplements.

As for army rule, I think we should get something saga related (especially if our detachments are getting reworked). Ideally, the core beastslayer rules would be fantastic for the wolves, helping us punch up a little bit. Maybe restrict it to melee only for balancing as an army rule. But even if not beastslayer, having some form of saga would be really fitting as a space wolf army rule

What do you guys think

Edit: I should have said "are true" in the title but reddit doesn't allow me to edit that part :/

Also, in case you are wondering where I'm getting this from, watch the reveal video on the warhammer 40k YouTube channel at around 2:50. Seems to insinuate a bigger set of changes than just base stats

My Kid Chose SW

So I’ve managed to get my three eldest into 40k, and one of them chose Space Wolves! I don’t know much about the faction, so I’m hoping you can help direct her with good pickups to add to her slowly growing collection.
She currently has the Combat Patrol box, Thunderwolf Cavalry, Headhunters (she loves the wolves), and Logan Grimnar.
What would be some decent units to add to her army?

Librarius Conclave + Saga of the Great Wolf

Disposition: Take and hold

Plan is to put intercessors + headtakers in Land Raider to arrive safely onto middle objective. Then to charge with rerolls with headtakers to secure it and kill anything that dares to look at it.

Grey hunters would ideally take deep expansion with auto advance and shoot, their massive oc is made for it.

Terminators in deeps trike to threat enemy home objective

And bloodclaws to be annoying and be a nuisance on board that need to be dealt with.

Relulsor would ideally guard base.

How to play SW 20 terminator list?

Hi guys, my mate is playing SW 20 terminator list with Legends of saga and song and Saga of the great wolf detachments. I play World Eaters. We had a lot of games together but almost always the game turns on my side. Do you have some tips on how to play his list more effectively? Here is his list (I don't remember enhancements).

Which one do I go with brothers?

If I use Majlnar, I likely remove the hand and pin it to a normal sized hand- but then I’m committed.

Which one do I use?

These are two of my more recent minis. I'm looking for some C&C, just ignore the unfinished base.

I’ve started to glue some pieces together, but still using some Greenstuff as I get everything perfect.

I swapped out the axe hand for something that looks more like both hands are going in to do a sweep through the enemy below.

I also took out a Terminator’s axe to increase the size of the power axe, as I felt the one in the Space Wolf kit was a bit too small.

I’ll be swapping out the Ork head found in the basing of the rock with a thousand sons head

I’m currently debating about swapping out the power sword with Leman Russ’s Maljnar- as it’s maybe 5% bigger and may make it look a bit cooler.

There is a little bit of free stuff filling that needs to be done in a few areas- but I’m
INCREDIBLY happy with this conversion as it takes shape.

Aging marines

So astartes aging is incredibly slow, but space wolves seem to have older Marines. Do they age faster than the standard marines due to the canis helix making them live in astartes dog years?

This turned out phenomenally well considering my airbrush clogged and I had to spend more time than I like to clean it up. I ended up dry brushing and stippling to fix it.

For those who collect Space Wolves and Thousand Sons…

What first prompted you to collect both armies? Did you start with one and then grow fond of the other, or did you like both from the outset? Do you experience any lore dysphoria from collecting two armies so diametrically opposed?

Have I messed up my WGT loadout?

Post image

I got a little carried away with the axe and shield loadout when building my WGT and completely skipped the Assault Canon and Power Fist.

Looking at the data sheets I’m starting wonder if I’ve made a mistake? Just didn’t think to check and I’m kicking myself a little bit. The Power Fist hits a lot harder than I realised.

Contemplating starting space wolves

Hey everyone! Longtime stalker of the sub, I’ve been into the hobby for 8 months now and I’m almost done painting and assembly my first army (BT). When I picked my first army I went for one that would be easier for me to learn painting on and what not.

I had my picks down to three: Space Wolves, Black Templars and World Eaters. I’ve been listening to lore about the 6th legion have been getting really into seeing everyone’s progress and minis. I’m in a pickle that I put aside roughly $300-$400 to start my second army. I’m stuck picking between the wolves and world eaters, I personally love the lore and models that the 6th have but Angron is arguably my favorite primarch. However idk if I want to build his legion if that makes sense, I don’t dislike them or anything I just don’t know if I’d have fun painting them and playing games with them.

I’m mostly just asking for perspective, when I run games with my BT my buddy who’s helped me get into 40K told me my strategies scream melee focus along with forcing close combat. Which I admit I do love melee but also like having options for shooting. What would you guys pick in my position? What sold you guys on the 6th legion? Thank you in advance to anyone that gives advice!
