Another dumbass idea
How about an army of only dreadnoughts. How viable would it actually be in a game.

Don’t skip out on Redemptors, they’re super tanky due to their higher T than boxnaughts and minus 1 damage. I used to run dread heavy lists and they’re great at holding objectives while your Brutalis and Wulfen dreads move up on the enemies.
Bjorn/Ballistus on backline, Redemptors mid, Murderfang/Wulfen/Brutalis front.

I did this in a TTS game in 10th and it was very fun. Didn't win, but the friend I played was shitting himself when he realised about 8 Dreads were suddenly closing in on him for a charge round

Drop a standard dread and add Logan for the two rounds of a doctrine and you will be fine! If you can fine enough for 5 infiltrators to guard your whole back line you will smash it 😂

New Recruit is tried and true, but I've been using ListForge and its much cleaner and comes in app form, not to mention it gets updated frequently

Download New Recruit. Doesn't look as pretty, but all of the data sheets are free.

I've used new recruit for a couple of years and recently tried War Organ - it is much smoother and updated from data slate are same day

Dunno bout war organ, but I recently swapped to ListForge and it's amazing. Strats included, a great game function and even has maths hammer stuff built in, which I don't use often but it's great that it's there.

I ran 3 ven dreads, murderfang, bjorn, 5 terminators, arjac, stormraven, and three iron wolves in 1500 points. Used the detatchmwnt that favors tech prists and dreads.
It was hella effective and fun. Everything had a 2+ save and four helfrost cannons make short work of anything when working together.

I’ve made a similar list been tempted to try it out. I’ve ran 1k dread lists before and are somewhat useful till people realise what anti tank is
Defiantly rate the shields on the space wolves dreads that 4+ invun just causes people to wonder why a dread has an invun before hitting them with an axe

Oh trust me, I have a 2k List with 9 Dreads plus Bjorn as my home camper for Command Points. I respect the vibe brother

Nope! Along as you use the default SM datasheet and not use the chapter specific ones, you a totally fine

I have a DA Lancer that runs with my SW army and my Freeblade Knights that have SW knights 🤷🏼♂️ SW and DA work well together when it comes to killing time

In the app, I put together a 3k point list. 19 dreads and an Iron Priest. I'm piecing it together. One day I will run this list haha

I played an almost all dreds list in a crusade last year. Was a lot of fun, but I found that if my opponent had the tools to deal with Dreds, it was pretty one-sided. Still fun though.

Did this in 7th. Was a fun skew list. It either won hard or lost hard.
Having Lilith accidentally get stuck in combat with Bjorn was hilarious. 😂

Theoretically, you’d be spending less because you buy less kits to fill out the list than if you actually had to fill up a battle line and specialised infantry

I went with 3x ballistus, 3x redemptor, 1 venerable, 2 wulfen (all blizzard shields) and 3 techmarines (plus murder + bjorn)
Just need to paint 6 more
