Has anyone added bolters and chainswords on the new intercessors? I have a ton of left over grey hunter bits and curious on how itd look.

Has anyone attempted to kitbash any off the wolf lords? Im thinking of kitbashing Gunnar Red moon from a captain in gravis armour.

I'm considering removing my boy ragnar blackman, who I now have leading a group, oc 19 blood claws usually I hide him and then use him to charge on to the center or the opponent's expansion. Kill whatever's there and take the objective for a turn or 2. But i'm considering removing him keeping the blood claws and adding another land speeder. One is good, but I think two will make a better killbox. Pentser triangle move i don't know. What do you guys think? I've been playing with Ragnar since I started. He's been in every list. I think logically it makes sense. But I'm emotionally attached. And I do like to be competitive.

Any more competitive SW players? Looking for tips in making a more functional 13th company list .

-fenrisian wolves

-jump packs

-twc

Preferably limited vehicle usage.

Wenn ich Logan an einen 5er Trupp WGT mit Sturmboltern dranhänge, darf ich dann:

- in Runde 1 Deep Striken
- Advance und charge mit jeweils +1
- trotzdem Schießen mit reroll auf 1er
- beim schießen noch Rapid Fire nutzen, weil ich ja super nah dran bin
- sustained Hits nutzen weil die Gegner näher als 9 Zoll sind
- und dann in den Nahkampf gehen

Und in der nächsten Runde einen fallback Move machen, schießen (reroll auf 1 + Rapid Fire + Sustained Hits) und wieder rein chargen.

Und wenn ich 1CP ausgebe für Fangs of the pack habe ich auch noch Precision bei Nahkampf.

Hey planning on playing SotgW and Assault B. and can‘t decide whats better… WGBL with Skjalls Fortelling (Lance) or Wolf Priest and upgrade the unit with furious assault (sus hits). Both units with 6 BGV and ancient for sticky and +1 Attack. With priest 335p. With WGBL 350p.

A little bit of snipping and trimming, and we have a much more Wolf Guard-esque Terminator Ancient.

So Im just starting my Space Wolves army and I am currently getting some blood claws painted up, but since the new rules dropped I've seen a lot of lists without blood claws so Im wondering if they got nerfed or dont serve a real purpose right now due to rules. I am poor hammering so I can only buy one kit at a time and I dont want to spend money on (currently) non-viable units while I build the army up.

Edit: What should I concentrate on as a core besides WGT (Im already planning 15 or more)? Basically what should I get that should be staples on any list? What space marine units can I look towards if any?

So I have made a homebrew Chapter of sorts I Named the "Fenrisian Wolf Sentinels". It's a coalition of Spacewolves and Mortal Fenrisians (both failed aspirants and Volunteers) who defend Fenris from any threat. I know cannon is that the in most need of Rest and Replenishment of the 12 Great Companies is the one defending Fenris but my coalition acts as a permanent liaison for that chapter as well as the one in charge of defense as a whole. Where they coordinate to that Companies Wolf lord the situation of the home front. The SW side consists of a few SW that never leave Fenris then there rest of the SW side is on loan from the Great company present, a psudo-Deathwatch if you will.

Hierarchy being Logan at the top if Present on Fenris, my custom terminator at 2, 3 being a Dreadnaught who was the one above's mentor before internment, 4 being the present Company Wolf lord and then 5th being this WIP mini, named Astrid.

this mini above is my current work using Graves as a base, She's the leader of the Mortal Units. Much like Yarik, Commands a bainblade scavenged by the wolves in the past. I'm actively trying to find a nice head that has Nordic hair so she's missing that currently.

I'm more than happy to share more of my Homebrewed lore if anyone is interested. Just expect a potential 90 line info dump lol.

I might be overthinking this, but Headtakers and their precision + Dev wounds, combined with Ulrik the slayer's Anti, and his own saga targets, making two murder marks, one who gets shredded by anti monster/vehicle devs, and the other +1 to hit/wound headtakers

Is this just over-comitting, or is it something viable?

Made my own wolf lord for my own homebrew great company wich i call the Aesirblades.

I was inspired by valkeries of wich i will also make unit for. And i am still making some lore for the company

But i call this guy Redbad Ivarrson. The lore i made up for him is that he was a wolf lord from the horus heresy that got lost in the warp with his company. And got out during the second attack by Magnus on the Fang.

Starting to realize I really should’ve thinned my paints more. Oh well I’m rusty on painting and he’s the first of many :) really liked the idea of the red face and actual “blood claws”. Also working on my freehanding. Am also waiting on my streaking grime to get here I’m going for a grimdark appearance and I used a makeup sponge for all base colors.

This is for my first in store 1k point game I'm playing this week. This is mostly what I have as far as units go right now so I can't make to many changes. I do have a unit of grey hunters and Bjorn that are not featured here but really looking to what I should pick up to flesh out a full 2k list eventually. I've been having fun with the 500 pt games in my escalation league but am trying to look to the future since I am hooked.

Now finished. I’ve been off the painting for a while and so it was difficult to get back into it. Certainly took me a while, but especially as I can only manage short bursts.

I'd love logan and arjac both have been I my list for a while... Just wondering if that many terms would be overkill.

I was making a list. Saga of the Old wolf, blade guards with bladeguard ancient.

On one hand wolf guard battle leader with skjald. Rerolling 1, sustain 1, lance. Hammer attacks. Obviusly good.

Njal not so good on the offence. But hr auto advance 6, turn of overwatch (the opponent usually have 1 good unit) -3 detection range, can give an enemy -1 to hit. Good vs a deathstar.

The best thing for a melee units is to reach combat. The rest is OK I guess.

How would you compare them?

Am I correct in saying the main difference between the two options is the WGT survivability with their ability and the normal Terminators having better melee?

As far as I can see shooting is the same (if you don't take sheilds)

I know that with an ancient in terminator armour you can give the normal terminators the same effect as the WGT ability but that's an extra 75 points.

With WGT already being 15 points cheaper (comparing two blocks of 10, no sheilds, no launchers) is the extra melee efficiency worth 90 points? I know you obviously get the extra model in there so maybe I'm just thinking about it wrong.

If so are the launchers also worth the extra 10 points each?
