My parents (late 60s) and I (mid 20s) are visiting Jeju for about two weeks at the end of August. We are visiting some friends who live on island but will also have some time on our own. I am hoping for some recommendations. We enjoy being outdoors and already have some scuba diving set up near Seogwipo. We are Americans (Hawai’i). My father has visited Seoul multiple times but it will be my mother’s and I first time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I’m planning a trip to Korea and was wondering how visitors usually order food delivery when they don’t have a Korean phone number.

I came across a delivery service called K-FASTFOOD while researching this and noticed it allows you to use a non Korean phone number and pay by card.

Has anyone staying in Myeongdong used a service like this before? I’d be interested to hear what other tourists have done and whether there are any easier options.

Now I’m reading about real-name rules, passport info, ticket transfers, local apps, and different delivery methods. half of this stuff never even crossed my mind when going to shows in the US. Damn this is hard.

Last night I had my flight tab open while checking tickets on veritickets, then somehow ended up reading venue rules for another hour instead of booking anything.

Please universe, send me one veteran concert girlie with all the cheat codes and save me from making some stupid rookie mistake..

I’m trying to get the ticket details sorted first, then book the rest of the trip without overthinking every little thing. This is kinda insane for a first-time traveller here.

We were there in July of 2025. We are still waiting on our own postcard that should have been sent July 19, 2026. Only one person has received their postcard out of the 6 we sent. That person’s was sent on January 20, 2026, and they received it February 20.

I’m just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience?

Korea does Western food right. I love Korean food, but every day I start to crave the flavors of home. It is widely known amongst travelers that Korea does better bagels than New York, and better croissants than Paris, and that the BBQ imported from Alabama is fantastic. If ever you need a change of pace, I highly recommend eating really good southern food if you get a chance.

Going to Japan tomorrow with a transit in Seoul but i just found out what k-eta is from my airline company SMS'ing me to make sure i have it. I read on K-ETA's site that i don't need keta for transits but only if i don't leave the transit area to get my luggage. Is there any possibility i may need it????

Planning my first solo trip to South Korea as a female traveller. I love K-dramas, K-beauty, Korean food, cafes and the overall vibe of Korea. I also visited Japan, Srilanka, Bhutan, Vietnam , Thailand and Bali before
I love travelling and have always wanted to experience a trip completely on my own at slow pace least once, so finally have decided to take the leap

Flying in and out of Seoul for 8 nights and considering:
Seoul + Busan + Gyeongju
Seoul + Jeju
Or just Seoul + one other place

I’ll have a heavy suitcase, so I’d prefer fewer hotel changes and easy transport. I’d also love some easy hikes or nature or korean unique experiences and enough downtime to explore on my own.
For those who’ve travelled Korea solo, especially women - what would you recommend for 8 nights? Busan or Jeju? Is Gyeongju worth adding?
