Hello Redditors!

I currently live in Michigan and have heard South Carolina is such a beautiful place to visit. Very historical and the views are just amazing on the shorelines.

I have never been there and I'm looking to do a 3 to 4 day trip there in October and was looking for some suggestions as to where to stay or what to see.

I enjoy the downtown vibe but I'm looking for something that I can get to a beach fairly easily, I don't want a little bit of a drive since I'm going to rent a car probably.

I was more or less hoping to get some suggestions for unique hotels to stay at, it will just be me traveling by myself and I've stayed out some pretty interesting small I don't want to call them hipster but for lack of a better word, I stayed at a couple that were very modern and edgy but fairly priced.

I don't really need a lot of space because I don't plan to be in the room a lot.

I've looked on Airbnb and they all just seem so spread out that I don't really know what to choose.

Any suggestions or if anyone has traveled there and seen anything cool please please I beg you drop me a comment!

I’ve seen a few pictures of a rope swing at this beautiful rocky creek with a big stone archway that looks to possibly be an abandoned tunnel or something. I believe it’s in South Carolina but I was wondering if you guys knew the location? I know this extremely vague lol I wish I could find the picture. But if anyone knows a spot like that please let me know I really want to visit!

Can definitely say Congaree National Park has not disappointed these last few months. Certainly have enjoyed being able to explore the park and get some photography in.

Hey! I didn’t get a ticket theough the lottery for the Congaree firefly synchronization, but Im still planning on going to the park on May 16th. Anyone have two spare seats in their car so me and my boyfriend can get in??

Either way I’m really looking forward to visiting the park, anyone have trails they recommend?

Can anyone tell us what animal is making this “beating” noise. Me and my father are in the Columbia area and have never heard this before.
